TERRASS HOTEL
A rooftop hotel in Paris
TERRASS HOTEL
TERRASS HOTEL

A few weeks ago Chloë et me had the opportunity to do our shooting in the magnificent penthouse of Terrass Hotel in the 18th arrondissement. I didn’t know about this hotel before but now that I’ve been to their penthouse, I can highly recommend this place. It’s a very charming hotel with a lot of character. The people who work there are very friendly, the restaurant is very nice and they have one of the best rooftop bars in Paris. This Terrass Hotel is located in the charming neighbourhood of Montmartre and is easily accessible by metro (about 5 minutes walk from Les Abbesses metro station)
The penthouse has a sauna in the room (!!!) and a big bed with a view to the Eiffel Tower and the famous parisian roofs. From the balcony, when you look towards the La Défense high rise buildings you’ll have the view on some trees, well, I can tell you that you actually feel like you’re above Central Park !
I did a short video (for the first time in my life) to remember this special day. I hope that you don’t mind that this video is far from perfect. It wasn’t planned at all and totally improvised like 5 minutes before we left the place.
Story: a girl boss on a business trip, waiting for her lover’s call.
Landing in Paris
And then we were home. And I was different, and it was the same.

I gave up on packing and sprawled out on my back, letting my hands dangling over the edge of the bed. I watched dust waver hazily through the rays of sunlight and smiled slightly, listening to Dan as he continued to comment on all of the photos I’d taken of Paris. Dan reminded me of September in Ohio. When the summer lingers and the sun is still warm. Everything drips gold, but suddenly there’s a sharpness to the wind and you can feel winter in the air. Dan could inflict the chill of a September breeze with a single glance, but I somehow felt the warmth behind all of his sarcasm.

I drank them in, standing on that dingy, subway platform, dripping and laughing after our sprint through the rain. God, they were gorgeous, I never wanted the moment to end. Kate’s long wet hair spilling down her back, Matt’s white button down plastered to his shoulders, Brie and Tori laughing as they tried to piece together their ruined map. I was no longer worried that I would regret having spent my day looking more at them than I had at art, because that’s what they were, living, breathing art; I couldn’t tear myself away.
