I love platonic stoncin/rostoncy with romantic Ronance/Stonathan so much because I imagine Robin and Jonathan are both so in love with/are platonic besties with Nancy/Steve respectively and the group is constantly attached at the hip so you’d think that they’re ALL obsessed with each other but then when Jonathan and Robin are asked about each other they’re just like “Oh, yeah, them. They’re pretty cool.”
They’re still friends but they’re wayyy more casual about each other than they are about the others 😭
Robin is like… “Here’s my best friend, the coolest guy I know and my platonic soulmate, Steve, and my beautiful and amazing girlfriend that I want to spend the rest of my life with, Nancy. Oh, and that’s Jonathan. He’s chill.”
Then when you ask Steve and Nancy about each other it sounds like they lowkey hate each other’s guts but they really do love each other.
Steve is like… “Nancy steals like half of my time with Robin, and I told her we needed a figure out a schedule but she just rolled her eyes at me, can you believe that? So entitled. Just because Robin’s her girlfriend doesn’t mean she gets first dibs 🙄. And to make it worse, my boyfriend literally lives with her so I can’t even fool around with him without her banging on the wall telling us to be quiet. But yeah… What was the question? Oh, yeah, I’d totally die for her if it came down to it, no questions asked.”
