Took me quite a few hours and going through... Many episodes, but I have a lair layout that makes sense/I'm happy with!

Hopefully it makes sense to y'all 🤷

burned a few braincells trying to figure out the subway lair 🧍‍♂️

some of the research with hasty notes as i, a country person, tried to essentially explain how subways work to my city friends (idk how subways work). anyway, i figured i'd share these in case there's someone out there who's just as crazy as i am! :]

I hate backgrounds.

But I managed to do this Leo room reference/animation shot (somehow)

It’s kinda minimalistic, but given that backgrounds are the bane of my existence, I’m pretty proud of it!

I also might change the colors for the final animation to better match the theme, but we’ll see

It’s also only going to show on-screen for 5 seconds of a unserious animation, so the amount of time I spent on this was fucking atrocious

But, alas, at least I’m learning the pains of the animation industry early on :,,)

started writing and I just realized how strange/funny it is that the fandom collectively refers to it as "the projector room". Not the family room. Not the living room. Not any other normal room name, the projector room XD

And ig that makes sense, since we don't hear them refer to it ever, and that is it's biggest defining trait to get ppl to understand which room we're talking about, but it's still kinda funny to me because that's the ONLY name I've ever heard it referred to by and the entire fandom just accepts that as its name

Holy cow this was a way bigger project then I anticipated. I did my best attempt to map out the new lair using the shots we had from the movie.

This isn’t completely accurate (there were just some things that had to be laid out a certain way for it to make sense/be possible) but I did my best to stay as true to the source as I could.

This is not to scale in any way, I just made it as a reference.

Notes:

Donnie’s/Mikey’s rooms were never shown, placement is educated guess

Kitchen space was added to fix the wacky layout lol

Dojo, garage, and bathrooms are also made up spaces

There’s an exit for the tank in the garage somewhere (use ✨imagination✨. And for the sewer entrance too)

This is the Rise of the TMNT New Movie Lair! Or at least how i thought it got put together..

Those two rooms on the side-NO IDEA WHERE THEY CONNECT TO!!! Orange arrows + floor level are where i think they may be but still not certain (I’m guessing they connect to the sewers like the vault door room place, but then the window roof doesn’t make sense………..

I am not crying at the thought of their first lair being destroyed by shedder no definitely not having any tears in my eyes rn and surely not relating to that feeling of a home being wrecked to the core by the enemy thus creating the need to move to another place that is utterly different and barely feels like home I have no clue what are you talking about
