As I am going to be focusing primarily on my animatic for the foreseeable future, I figured I’d mention that my asks are open and I wouldn’t mind answering them in the meantime!

I’m willing to answer just about anything (…within reason) but I’ll throw out a few options anyways:

Keep in mind I may have to be cryptic about some of these to prevent spoilers

Ask about my upcoming AU, The Forgotten Time

Do you like violence in the ninja turtles terms?

Originally I wrote up a big ‘ol ramble for this, but it kinda spiderwebbed so I’m rewriting it to be short and sweet xP

Also, I’m most familiar with 2012 and ROTTMNT, so some of this may not apply to other versions!

I believe you mean if I like how the shows handle and represent violence?

I do think they could be a liiiittle bit more realistic with how fighting works; not really with choreography—I do like my fun fight sequences—but more-so with injury and risk. I think it would be fun to see them get injured for more than major arcs (Leo comas) or just bits, even if I did enjoy ROTTMNT Donnie’s ankle drama, and to see physical consequences of constant combat. More… quality of life scrapes, I suppose. Mistakes happen, injuries occur, and I want my turtles sent home on stretchers :>

Also, for them facing a villain literally named the Shredder, I’d expect them to get at least a little sliced and diced. But no, only blunt force trauma for these dorks

self-indulgent birthday thing I made today (err technically yesterday now where I’m at but ah)

been thinking about a warriors/ROTTMNT AU for a while now—old hyperfixation is now returning full force GAH—so I decided to put together a Raph ref for fun

very happy with his shape; might be a while before I tackle the rest of them, but hopefully they turn out just as good!

But out of pancakes or waffles, I think I prefer the simplicity of a pancake—less shapes to strategically cut through. Loooove them with strawberries and/or blueberries, too, yum yum

Little update

Gonna address a couple things real fast before vanishing again

‼️First thing I wanna mention is that I will be finally going through my ask box! I know it’s been a while since I’ve answered any asks, and I want to apologize for taking so long to get to them. An unexpected amount of school work this last semsester, posting anxiety, and going abroad has held me back from tackling them for some time, but I’m going to try and run through them here soon! Thanks to anyone who has sent me any, there are a lot of very nice and funny ones in there, and again I apologize for taking so long to get to them :<

Second, I’m very close to finishing my next animation soon (praying I can lock in for these next few days) which will be posted on YouTube first and then reposted here in a few days after that. Super excited to share it—I’ve been working on it for a lot longer than I anticipated RAHH

Third, after I post this animation, I will be working on opening up commissions for a little while. Not sure how long that’ll take me, since I’ve never done them before, but hopefully fairly soon!

Lastly, I will be going through and simplifying my organizational tags so that I actually use them, and I’ll likely make another small announcement post when I do so.

I am also currently away on another trip so as much as I’d like to get some of these things done quickly, there is a chance I am still slow with them for a little while.

Completely missed the Donnie takeover for the weekly magma due to being horrendously busy with school, but I still wanted to draw something to show appreciation for my favorite turt!

I’ve always wondered what it would be like for Donnie to meet his future selves, as he alluded to the possibility in the movie, and I thought it would be interesting to see him interacting and working together with them! So, I drew both my bad future (far left) and good future (far right) Donnies to triple down on the ourple takeover

uhh this was for last weekend’s magma but I forgot to post it and went on a trip so erm sorry about the lateness but uh anyways

..when I saw the @weeklymagmas theme announcement for last weekend, I knew EXACTLY what I was gonna draw

BEHOLD!!!!! DRAG QUEEN FUTURE LEO!!!

I have been DYING to draw Future Leo in drag for AGES (because... c'mon... HE LITERALLY WOULD), but I never had the opportunity/time to do so. But the weekly magma was the perfect time to take a break from animating, and finally draw them out!

I'm overall really happy with how they turned out, especially the dress, but I fear I didn't push the makeup nearly enough. Though, I never really draw makeup... ever... so I suppose that's something for me to improve on later. I would like to draw them a lot more!

Also, I was experiencing Bi panic the entire time I was drawing this so I put my future Yuichi there to express my feelings

I haven’t gotten much progress done lately, but I’m hoping spring break will open up some free time for me to finish this!

I’ve kind of also entered the mindset of “just get it done” at this point, so I’ll likely be cutting some corners especially towards the end, but I’m fine with that. At the end of the day, I’ve already put a lot of effort into this and I would like to move on to other projects soon!

As a child, did Valeria look like a younger version of themself, or were they a caterpillar?

AHHH!! Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. Allow me to explain...

So Valeria is a weapon's experiment. He's a Spanish moon moth that was grown in a lab for better soldiers and less manslaughter, but she had to be raised from an egg to make sure they had good genes.

This is him as an egg. It's larger than a normal moth egg, about the size of a Softball and kept in closed off and climate controlled incubator until she hatches. The egg gets firmer and had to be pulled apart whenever he hatches and placed in another incubator.

This is the other incubator and she spends her first year in this water container with tubes to make sure she keeps progressing. The bubbles were just fun to add and I wanted to draw him as a little fetus baby.

They had to adapt outside of his environment and had longer arms to reach and grab stuff easier. She can't see for the first two weeks so relies on touch and smell at first. Also she's about 10 inches big here and covered in fuzz to protect her caterpillar flesh. Or something. I don't know what caterpillars are made of.

When he can see, he needs to be slowly exposed to brighter light since they're used to soft lighting. She isn't allowed outside the lab until she gets her wings. His eyelashes act similar to antennas and give the sense of smell and sight, but still can't speak for the first 5 years.

Her hair has to be shaved and trimmed regularly to move easily. You can tell how he uses the different limbs. He moves very slowly and prefers carpet instead of tiles.

Project V1 can only be fed liquids and juice since they don't have teeth. At age 3 they begin eating with their caterpillar beak instead of their proboscis. Still eating mostly leaves and plant stems.

At 6 years old, V1 loses her caterpillar beak and grows longer limbs. They only have 4 now because they're next phase will grow them legs. She can speak now but mostly uses sign language to practice with their new hands. Her hair is still trimmed regularly but doesn't get in the way as much. Valeria gets a few shirts to get used to wearing her uniform once she goes through the chrysalis stage. And that's all for project V1. Thank you for asking more about Valeria. I had fun drawing her in different stages. I'll probably draw the chrysalis stage in a different post. Thanks again, Vee. Remember to hydrate.

I felt that I was relying too much on digital tools to shade instead of utilizing colors, so I decided to do traditional art to try and break away from the habit!

Also to give my brain a break while I studied for a test today, which helped tons

Anyways, anatomy is probably inaccurate and some drawings may be a bit messy as I only used pens and markers to reduce time, but it still helped with practice. I may be able to start doing this digitally? But it likely means I need to find some better shading pens

I’ll be less busy after this test, so hopefully more animatic clips and stuff here soon!

I kinda disappeared for two weeks, but I’m back with new Bad!Future Donnie refs

I’ve gotten to some parts in the animatic with him in it, so I had to take a break to make this; sadly my motivation has pitifully tanked (which happens when I work on projects for this long) so it took me longer than it should’ve. Wghejsja but now I can animate again so hopefully I’ll get more done soon
