Prince who wanders off too easily- too carelessly- where he could get hurt. So his Knight starts keeping him closer. Always at arms length. Jokes about leashing him like one of the hunting hounds, but it is just a joke, surely- it would be too improper. But that doesn't mean he can't grab the boys wrist when he steps a little too far away. Or even grab him by the throat. if needed, once they're a little more secluded. It's just a soft reminder, isn't it? To stay close where he's safe and can be protected.
And if sometimes his Knight has to squeeze just a little harder- to show his Prince just what someone else might do to him if he continues to attempt to stray...well- that's still just for his protection. It's just to put emphasis on how important it is that the Prince stay right by his side, unless he wants someone else to hurt him.
