Hey romance readers! 💕

It's time for ROUND FIVE of the Romance Readathon! We've been reading romance together for five years which makes me so happy! For the entire month of February (1st-28th) I will read as many romance books as I can so join me in swooning over some fictional characters 🥺

If anyone wants a challenge, here are this year's reading prompts:

read a romance with "love" or "heart" or "romance" in the title

read a romance by an author you've never read from before

read a romance with at least 5 colors on the cover

read a romance you've been wanting to read forever

read a romance with a character who works for the food and beverages industry (i.e. chef, baker, barista, restaurant manager, bartender, anything could work)

Act Your Age, Eve Brown was so cute! It was like a ray of sunshine condensed into a book. I loved Eve and Jacob so much! I especially loved they just couldn’t help but lovingly bicker and annoy each other every second they were together. And the fact that they both lived rent free in the other’s head through the whole book was absolute perfection! This had me giggling to myself more than once. I also really loved the autism representation!! Especially because Jacob had a diagnosis and Eve didn’t. I think that just made this book all the more interesting. My only complaint about the book was the “break up” scene about 50 pages from the ending that felt out of character for both Eve and Jacob. But I think that might just be a me problem. Otherwise this was a wonderful read that kept a smile on my face the entire time I was reading it. Act Your Age, Eve Brown is getting four and a half stars from me!

My favorite books this month were Heated Rivalry and How To Deal When Your Intimidating Neighbor Is Actually An Omega. Both were absolutely fantastic!

I Got Abducted By Aliens And Now I’m Trapped In A Rom-Com was one of the most unhinged and hilarious things I’ve read in a while. It had me giggling and laughing like a mad woman the entire time I was reading! I loved the absolute absurdity that seemed to follow Dory around on this alien planet. All she wanted was to get back home to her research, but instead she found aliens, dinosaurs, talking lion, and not one but two mates who can shoot fireballs from their tails. And I have to give kudos for the (mostly) good natured competitiveness between Lok and Sol (Dory’s mates). They were hilarious with trying to one up each other every chance they got. They had me giggling so much! This was such a fun read and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one. I Got Abducted By Aliens And Now I’m Trapped In A Rom-Com is getting a solid four stars from me!

Romance Readathon Update #1

we're ten days into the romance readathon and i've read two books and they were both great!

since you came along by kajal rai: 4.5/5 stars (except for the drama with the woman's ex i enjoyed this book a lot)

the love of my afterlife by kirsty greenwood: 5/5 stars (i got my first 5 star read of the year yayyyyy! this was so funny and i couldn't stop reading this, read it in two sittings)

i still haven't decided what to read next since i still miss the characters from my last read
