Romance Readathon Update #1

we're ten days into the romance readathon and i've read two books and they were both great!

since you came along by kajal rai: 4.5/5 stars (except for the drama with the woman's ex i enjoyed this book a lot)

the love of my afterlife by kirsty greenwood: 5/5 stars (i got my first 5 star read of the year yayyyyy! this was so funny and i couldn't stop reading this, read it in two sittings)

i still haven't decided what to read next since i still miss the characters from my last read

An hour left in the day! I started this an hour after My Dark Vanessa. It is a book I am reading for the weekend read-a-thon. I've only gotten 23 pages in because I ate dinner and decided I needed to paint my nails immediately.

It's a beast, but I have heard such great things about it, so I am excited.

I read all of The Deathless Girls and This Winter yesterday, which put me at 447 pages! I also read some of Serpent&Dove on my kindle, but I need to figure out how to tell what that is in pages...

So 447 until I figure that out...

1kpages readathon update

I hadn’t made an update for this yet (or even telling I’d sort of joined) but I’ve read about 650 pages (mostly because I had some library books I had to return today and I still hadn’t read them, so spent yesterday finishing the two books I had left and then returned them to the library without borrowing any new ones, because I have so many more I have to read...it’s ridiculous.) I feel quite good about this challende so far! 

The two books I’ve finished are Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst and The Astonishing Color of After by Emily X.R. Pan.

I’m going to start reading The Power by Naomi Alderman and Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire - since they are also library books, and need to be returned soon...

IT'S OFFICIALLY READATHON DAY! It's currently midnight and I'm hoping to at least make a start on Hold back the stars. Let's hope I don't fall asleep while I'm reading lol 😂 Good luck everyone! (in case anyone is wondering, the guy on my lock screen is majima from the video game Yakuza 😊)

You know what happens when you don’t know what the date is? You make a post about readathons, thinking they happen a week from today, when really they start today.

So anyway, update on 24-in-48, I’ve finished a book (The Tidal Zone by Sarah Moss - 4/5 stars, beautifully written but sometimes tedious) and am on to the next (The Lauras by Sara Taylor, freaking love it so far), but I only have about 7.5 hours of reading under my belt. That leaves me with 16.5 hours to read tomorrow. lol And there is no way that is happening. But uhhhh... that's cool.
