alright, alright! settle down, feisty young’un’s, and i’ll tell you about how our clans came to be-! hey, joykit, get off of your brother! foxkit, get off my tail- dandelionkit, no, you can’t search me for fleas- didn’t you want me to tell you all the story of the clans?!
that’s right, quiet down! if any of you make even a single squeak while i’m speaking, you’ll never hear this story again!
alright. now, how did it start again...? oh, right!
now, you see kits, this was long, long ago, way before breezeclan, cloudclan, rubbleclan, caveclan, or roseclan were even thoughts!
it’s said that we descended from clans before us, named; thunderclan, windclan, shadowclan, skyclan, and riverclan.
thunderclan was couragous and strong; windclan was sleek and fast; shadowclan was sly and cunning; riverclan was beautiful and stream-lined; and skyclan was swift and boisterous.
these five clans thrived for many generations, facing many dangerous foes. but alas, all that is good must come to an end.
over time, the clans dispersed.
shadowclan was first, ran out from their home by vicious, beady-eyed beasts called rats, whose eyes were as red as blood.
thunderclan and skyclan were next, the trees they lived amongst taken by wretched things named twolegs. oh- squirrelkit, don’t fret! twolegs don’t anywhere near us!
anyways, after the departure of shadowclan, thunderclan, and skyclan, for a long time only windclan and riverclan were left. and even then, as years passed, the two remaining forgot their old traditions, and even their own names, only becoming wind group and river group.
and then, just as the last fragments of their old life were going to be lost, it is said that a moonclan warrior by the name of ‘wind-runner’ chose a young, blind tom of the name heartspot. wind-runner spoke to heartspot, telling him of the ways of the clans, and convincing him to travel with other cats to a new land to rebuild the clans.
and that is what heartspot did! he gathered his friends, the closet being cloudjump and rosedew, and the three set off!
the journey was long and difficult. many of their cats passed on the way, either from badgers, foxes, sickness, starvation, or their own exhaustion.
but when they arrived to our territories, they were overbound with glee. of course, before the final three arrived, there were two of our clans already settled.. and i would love to continue to tell you about them...
oh, but the sun is setting! soon your mothers will come to guide you back to the nursery. come back later, and i shall continue with the early history of clans!- hey! foxkit, what did i say about getting on my tail?!
