Day 99/100 #100daystofreedom #harshayoga #Ruchikasana Ruchika was the name of a sage, the grandfather of Bhagavan Parasurama, the sixth incarnation of Visnu. This is the penultimate asana in the ekapada sirasana(cycle). Well, some consider that one’s ability to tuck the head the back of the head as the biggest goal in one’s sadhana wrt Asana practice. It isn’t, it’s actually really boring. I mean, ya you really wanted to do that and now you can, so what?. It’s what you do once you’ve reached here that matters. But I’ll tell you one thing, the day you do this is the day you realise you have something called a spine. And the experience is the best when you come back to danadasana. You’ll feel more alive than ever before. But why go to the extent of wanting to do this?. You will know when you reach there. Ya, that’s all I can say. And you can also consider that day as THE day you are no longer bound to the limitations of your physical existence. Annamayakosha. For the secret never lies in the secret, it is in implementing the know facts that one becomes established on the path of yoga or any other path of knowledge. The keys to open doors to the world of possibilities is embedded in you. You don’t have to be reborn to do theses simple things. All you need is an unshakable will, the fire to burn all that stands your way in reaching/touching the reality that says you are THE ONE. 1. Pull the leg and hold it with the supplies of the left hand so that it doesn’t slip. 2. Pull it a little more so that you can lock it. 3. Push it in. 4. Start lifting the trunk up. Slowly 😉 5. Press to lift 6. Try feeling the stretch from the base of the spine directed downwards towards the floor. 7. Try to maintain a steady arch on the sides trunk. 8. Press the palm for a firm grip so that you don’t loose the balance. 9. Keep the leg diagonal, but straight. 10. Press the other palm too. Stay still and enjoy the extension till you fell alive. And then later, go to shvanasana. And sleep 😂😀🙃. Let me know in the comments below as to how you felt after you give it a try. https://www.instagram.com/p/BrxT-3mnZut/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=3clkk2u3g2si
#forwardfold #ruchikasana variation.....not quite behind the head, and nowhere near lifting the other foot- I feel like a forklift would have been a more appropriate prop than the wall for this!! 😂 Day 25 of #prepwithprops @cyogalife @gmcyoga ・・・ #keeppracticing #yoga #yogachallenge #yogaprops #getflexy #benddontbreak #practiceandalliscoming #practicemakesprogress #yogafit #fitspo #healthylifestyle #yogagoals #yogalooksgood #yogastrong #balance #yogaover30 #progressnotperfection #strongwomen #yogabalance #offthemat #nbyoga #flexibility #challengeyourself https://www.instagram.com/p/BnCUxKdFj9G/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1kyhyisuokmkv
