Dallas loved her days off, whether it was from school, work, or even both at the same time, but it meant she could do the things she wanted. She laced up her sneakers and readied her headphones for her jog and made sure to dress warm for the chill San Fran mornings. Jogging was one of her favorite things to do when she had no time constraint, she could go as fast or slow as she wanted and truly wander where ever, and after a couple hours of jogging and being sweaty she made a stop at her local coffee shop, knowing a good breakfast sandwich and coffee would truly hit the spot. Standing in line she hummed along to the song on her headphones as she looked at the menu, she made sure to order and tipped as much change as she had and once she was handed her coffee and her number for her table her eyes scanned the crowd of tables.
It was like a magnet, her eyes finding his, and it shook something in her she didn’t know was still there, and then the anger creeped back up to replace that feeling. Dev looked good, naturally, but it made her angry to see him looking so good, seeing him made her good day turn sour, sipping her coffee she wasn’t exactly sure what to do. One side of her brain thought it’d be fine to catch up while the other just wanted her to throw her drink at him, call him an ass and go on her way, but she chose the latter and swallowed whatever anger she had. They’d already made eye contact she might as well just get their confrontation over with, “I’d say it’s good to see you, but I haven’t truly decided if it is or not” She said as she tapped on the back of the empty seat at his table, “may I sit?”
