RUN ONE DONE
I did it!!!!!! I went for my first ever run at the age of 35. I guess I might have run at some point in those 35 years. I remember a day on a beach a long time ago where I had to run before the sea completely swept me away, it was a nightmare but a real one. I think there is a picture of me winning a race at about 5. I don’t think either of those count though really.
It was different to how I thought it would be. The cardio element was fine, I wasn’t too out of breath and I didn’t feel like I couldn’t do it, fitness wise (this was a shock to me, it’s not as bad as I thought) however wow did my legs hurt. Specifically my shins and the front of my thighs. They felt soooooo tight. I can’t imagine how much they are going to hurt in the next couple of days. Flat shoes will be needed.
I have even done really well on the food front today. Rice crispies with raisins for breakfast, ham salad (no bread) for lunch, some cherries for a snack. Hmmm what is tea though, burgers might not quite cut it, however they are homemade with no added anything. It should be ok.
