I got to sport my new @getvizy vest tonight! 🌈 . I did not get hit by any vehicles, so it was a success 😂 . In other news, it was a lung busting run tonight. Not running for now 3.5 weeks sure can knock you back a few pegs. I expected to struggle, which I did, but it’s wasn’t all that bad. Since I was still able to workout during my running hiatus it was much more pleasant than I thought it would be. 👍 . Plus, running with @runtobeercv sure does ease the pain. I was greeted with open arms and high-fives! 🤗 . And just like that, I’m back in the game. Another half marathon bites the dust! ✅ . I’m so glad this one is over. It was nowhere near my best race. After about 3 km’s I realized my breathing (from this cold) wasn’t going to get any better. After stopping to hack up a lung, I decided then and there that a PB was definitely out the window 💨 . I slowed my pace and kept it that way for the rest. There was a time I thought I might still be able to at least match last years time, but it didn’t happen. As I got more fatigued my brain had a hard time trying to do the pace math 😂 . The positives from today: 🏃‍♀️My muscles felt stronger than last year. 🏃‍♀️I have amazing support from all aspects of my life! 🏃‍♀️It was a gloriously sunny day. 🏃‍♀️I can do tough things. . It was so good to see friends and my running family out on the route. I wanted to hug everyone, but held back because I don’t want to get anyone else sick. My poor bf is probably a goner though. 😷 . His undying love and support kept me going. He knew what I needed to hear. It wasn’t some BS “lookin’ good” cause let’s face it, I was NOT or “almost there” when you’re not even close to the end!!! But they were things like “keep going” and “you’re doing it” because I like facts, you can’t argue with them. I WAS going to keep going and I WAS doing it!!! I replayed his words the whole time. 🥰 . I think that’s about it for my race recap, but if you want to chat, shoot me a message. The walls of your comfort zone are lovingly decorated with your lifelong collection of favourite excuses. 🎨 . Life is busy. It always will be. After a rough day sitting down with a glass of wine and some Netflix is easy. It’s comfortable. 🛋 . But magic is what happens when we push outside our comfort zones. If we just choose the salad over chips, go for that walk, maybe even a run, or workout for 20, 30 or 60 minutes. 🔮 . I had a mental battle on the track tonight. So I pulled up some photos of myself running to visualize that I find joy in it! (Like this one!)🥰 . I mean, I know I do, but how can I struggle so much sometimes? Tonight was 6x800. Not a long run by any means. I wasn’t even halfway and I wanted to quit. Mind you my tummy was not happy with my decision to try a new energizer, but that’s not uncommon. 😒 . I had put 6 small rocks in my hand so I wouldn’t lose count. As I completed each round I would drop one. I toughed it out and completed all 6 rounds. I felt like I was running much faster than what my splits said though. Oh well, I’ll try to focus on the happiness of completing it. 🏃‍♀️ . So this photo, although more cheerful looking, represents a similar mindset to today. RUNVI ist jetzt live auf Kickstarter

Vor einiger Zeit habe ich für NWTN - einem Startup aus Berlin - die erste Interaktionsgestaltung und das UI entwickelt. Dabei war damals schon klar, wie schwer es werden würde, Sensoren in die Sohle einzubetten. Nun scheinen sie es geschafft zu haben.

Interessant ist für mich vor allem die Weiterentwicklung der App. Ich bin sogar so neugierig, dass ich mich die Tage bei denen mal melden werde um einen Prototyp in die Hände zu bekommen.
