Summary:

Sung Hyunjae's hands squeezed again, sending a jolt up Han Yoojin's spine. "I knew you were contradictory, but your thoughts really don't match your words at all. Do you really live like this?" As if Sung Hyunjae was one to talk. "Shut up!" Han Yoojin said, only to cut himself off with another moan. His hips accidentally ground down, again, and he was struck with an undercurrent of satisfaction, as well as a frankly infuriating amount of smugness. "Don't-- don't be so smug, this has nothing to do with you! Anyone with your looks would have the same effect! Trade off with Chief Song right now!" "I would love to see that," Sung Hyunjae said, and the worst part was that Han Yoojin could tell he was being honest. Ugh.

7. 🛸 share one fan-theory that you currently have and believe whole-heartedly

I don't know if this is a widespread fan-theory, but at least one fan (me) is theorizing this. I truly deeply believe the actual canonical subtext (I would call it barely sub, just enough for plausible deniability) of the novel is that outside of Korea and similar countries/cultures, Sung Hyunjae is internationally openly understood to be bisexual. I don't mean this in a shippy way, I mean this in a 'this informs characterization and the way people from the international hunter community interact with him in canon'. I've got the beginning of a post collecting the relevant bits, maybe I'll complete that a bit more seriously lol.

21. 📖 what was the last s-class fic you read and enjoyed?

I just discovered bad decisions have no place in television by eridanos, which is an ongoing HJYJ celebrity AU and I not only binged it in one sitting, but then went back and reread bits immediately. Han Yoojin, celebrity manager and the man that he is, has a no-feelings involved just a 22-night-stand with top actor Sung Hyunjae and then obviously since the whole thing is just so casual~ breaks up with him over text while he's in another country for a shoot and blocks him.

24. 🪶 if guenseo does ever does another q&a and you got to ask ONE question, what would it be?

I answered @howlingmoonrise on this here, and said I want and answer to the skipped question about the first Sung Hyunjae and Crescent Moon and how the contract came to be. But if I had to pick a completely fresh question: SPOILERS but When Sung Hyunjae was pretending to be to be someone else pre-reg and was meeting Yoojin with a fake identity - how long did that go on before he revealed his identity? Did Song Taewon join them only after Sung Hyunjae's identity reveal or even before that? How long did they know each other and how often did they meet before the fateful "Dungeon"? Pre-reg time period fascinates me so so much and I have so so many questions!

a very self indulgent au [pre-regression spoilers]

Thinking about a Han Yoojin that doesn't forget his two friends from his first life.

When they meet at the conference and Hyeonje suugests buying him, Yoojin thinks "he's still a bastard... good", and something in his heart flutters.

Maybe Han Yoojin wouldn't tell Seong Hyeonje to lose the possessiveness because it feels like home.

Maybe he says yes to the dates instead of hanging up the phone.

Maybe Han Yoojin looks at Seong Hyeonje with such affection in his eyes that Hyeonje is bewildered.

People have looked at him in fear, admiration, lust, and everything in between. But never affection, not even his parents held that.

Maybe Han Yoojin is receptive of Hyeonje's whining the same way he is to Yerim's and Yoohyun's. He would still call Hyeonje a bastard, of course, but he'll wrap his arms around the bigger frame without hesitation. Because it's his Hyeonje, just like he is Hyeonje's Yoojin.

Gyeol is still his child and his alone, but something in him melts when he sees Hyeonje gently rock the sleeping child in his arms. Maybe the Seong surname wouldn't be too bad either.
