All the horrible ways they describe the condition of Sam's soul in Hell, makes me pity him so much: Michael and Lucifer hate banging it. Raw nerve ending. Flayed open. His soul felt like it has been skinned alive. 😭

oh my god.. I never noticed this before.. the way Sam tears up when he realises he was walking around with no soul for a year and felt betrayed by Dean's and Bobby's lies

The way Dean takes the sword out of the stone is sucha great metaphor to how he usually handles situations in real life. Here Dean had to get the sword out, no matter cost which resulted in him breaking the sword while he remained unscathed (for most parts). This sits parallel to how to handles Sam's life. Everytime he brought Sam back, it came with horrible consequences for Sam instead of Dean (except when he sold his soul obvs) like Jailbreaking Sam's soul from Hell, drove Sam clinically insane. Letting Gadreel possess Sam, led to Kevin's death.

Omg! The sewer set is the same one from The French Mistake where Virgil attacks the boys. Wait, was stunt co-ordinator co-ordinating this same fight?!

Does anyone else feel they started with this story of 'Mother of all' but probably skipped it and then decided to go with purgatory and Leviathans? Personally, this Mother was more intriguing than purgatory to me
