also, insane that they made such a point of carter re-lapsing, actually admitting to himself that he's been just half-arsing himself through his whole recovery, and that he is an addict and thinks about drugs 247

and benton dismisses carter over relapsing, weaver has him start over with 90 meetings for 90 days, he can't push drugs... etc

and then like None of that is referred to ever again. 5 seconds later he is out on the field amputating a guy. benton goes from "you're a liability cos you relapsed and can't push drugs" to: here's your phone amputation guide. and then next carter's just... dating rena, who is really young. like, uuh. what. insane season
