You found yourself on Sakaar. The planet that lives on the edge of the known and unknown. the collection point for all lost and unloved things- except that’s definitely not what you are.
In fact- you are a guardian of the galaxy. You have a brother, a family and you have a home. All you need is a way out. But the only thing that does make sense on the trash planet is that nothing makes sense. Which- at this point for you, is proving to be very difficult.
You crash landed less than two weeks ago after a mission that went very, very wrong. You were forced to go into your own pod- a last minute “genius” idea from rocket.
You got completely separated at a jump point, you got hid by a rouge asteroid 5 clicks in- you passed out due to the pure force and woke up in the trash-ridden place.
You know they can’t come for you, they can’t find you, it’s borderline impossible- but you also know they’ll relentlessly search on every planet in every solar system in the entire galaxy to get to you.
you’ve learnt many things about the planet- how it’s a waste planet made for beings that have nowhere else to go, its leader is a pansexual, orgy-loving, freak- and there’s the arena where once a week “champions” will battle and fight..it’s the only official ‘betting’ system there is, run by the grandmaster of course.
you have your blasters- peters coat and a backpack that has his Walkman and two mixtapes in it along with a change of clothes you stole. But the one thing you keep as close to you as you can, a picture of you and the other guardians..the one thing getting you through..you need to get off this fucking planet- even if it kills you. Which you know it might.
You’ve spent countless days asking about and searching the planet and learning its secrets- just off of the grandmasters radar.
You’ve been taught many things by peter but one of the main being how to spot a bad egg. Which is why It really didn’t take you too long to learn of Loki.
Apparently one of the grandmasters favourites, a god. And of mischief no less, one of the most popular people in the big guys circle right now. You heard a rumour that he has the access password and key to the main building- which means he can get into the ship room.
Which is, undoubtedly, your best chance at getting off this stupid fucking planet.
You’ve been watching from afar, slowly piecing together a plan over the last two or so days.
All you have to do is steal the keycard from him and your set. It can’t be too hard. he’s drunk most nights anyway. Just do a little bit of flirting, distract him a touch, take him back to his room and knock him out- then take it.
Imagine Loki steals the Tesseract but it’s a fake, just a very very good one. In fact it’s so good it briefly fools Thanos, giving the Asgardians time to escape. Thanos then gifts it to Hela who is overjoyed…until she tries to use it. Once the truth comes out, Hela’s wrath falls on Thanos, solving a lot of problems for everybody else.
As for the real Tesseract, it’s on Sakkar, hidden in plain sight as part of the disco lighting.
So I was scrolling through @doctorstrangeaskblog 's Twitter (which you should totally follow) and saw these Doctor Strange concept art photos.
I love love the design, but I'm really glad they went with the more organic and traditionally wizard-y costume Stephen ended up wearing.
Also, the designs above make it look like Stephen is part of the upper class on Sakkar - I TOTALLY BELIEVE THERE SHOULD A UNIVERSE OUT THERE WHERE HE IS BTW - and it's just so interesting to look at...

It was when Loki first arrived on Sakaar that he met her. Her sight was one a man won’t forget easily. Her long flowing dark brown hair was braided in parts so that her features were free for his view to roam over. Delicately build as well in frame as in facial features, her sparkling blue eyes and cheery red lips were what had caught Loki’s attention from the very first moment. When her eyes finally caught his, she bowed her head slightly. “Your royal highness, a warm welcome to Sakaar.” He bowed his head as well. “It’s my pleasure. Thank you for welcoming me here.” His eyes again began to travel up and down her frame. The beautiful dark blue dress, which clung to her frame, was embroidered with sparkling gem stones, which led him to assume that she belonged to the royal family of Sakaar. She could as well be a princess as far as he was concerned. Maybe a sister or even a daughter to the new Queen of Sakaar? He wasn’t given much information about the new queen when his father chose him to make this courtesy visit. Their families never had been close, however his father seemed eager to change this and therefor sent him here. Her voice brought Loki back from his thoughts. “May I lead our way to the dining hall? A small lunch was arranged upon your arrival. Afterwards you will be led to your room to prepare yourself for the reception this evening.” Loki bowed slightly, before offering her his arm. “Please lead the way.” She lightly put her hand on his arm before starting to move.
After the lunch which he took with the princess alone, Loki was let to a beautiful set of rooms that lead towards the palace gardens, he had already seen from the lunch area. After he dismissed the servants, he preferred to ready himself for dinner, he wandered through the rooms and though of the beautiful princess. He was a bit cross with himself that he never got to ask her name. He definitely needed to change this. He had to learn her name in the course of the evening and compliment the Queen on her fantastic sister/daughter/or whatever she was. Another thing he ought to find out.
Loki had readied himself when at eight sharp a knock sounded at his door. Upon opening he found a uniformed servant who led him to the big set of double doors that probably led to the reception area. After taking a breath, he nodded to the servant who opened doors. “His royal highness, Prince Loki of Asgard.” Loki entered the room where a huge crowd had gathered. It seemed like every Sakaar with links to the royal family had been invited. While people to his left and right bowed slightly, Loki looked for the only one he knew: the princess. As if being called, she appeared by his side. “Prince Loki, I am happy to see you.” “My pleasure, I am happy to know at least one person.” They moved along the room while people they passed bowed to them. Loki slightly wondered about his, however dismissed the thought in favor to something else. “Would you mind leading the way to your Queen? It’s her I was invited by and I should offer my greetings as lovely as your company is and as much I enjoy it.” Loki smiled at her. The smile he got in return, seemed a bit wicked. “I am happy to hear you enjoy my company but I fear I am not able to lead your way, but I may introduce myself properly: Alarice, Queen of Sakaar.” Loki felt all color drain from his face and felt like fainting. How could he not have noticed she was the Queen instead of a princess? They even called her the young Queen. And the bowing of everyone, now it totally made sense. Before she could say another thing, he bowed deeply and started to apologize. “My Queen, I am deeply sorry I have mistaken you for a princess. However let me say in my favor that I was charmed by your presence and I never received much information about you.” She chuckled silently. “Do not worry Prince Loki. It was quite amusing for me.” Still mortified about what happened, Loki apologized over and over again while they made their rounds before dinner.
At dinner he was seated at the head of the table, right next to the Queen. As charming as she had been as a princess, she was a stunner as Queen. Conversation between the two of them flowed easily and he was charmed by her intellect as well as by her appearance. After dinner the Queen offered to show Loki the beautiful gardens which he had observed from their rooms and which they had talked about during dinner. Slowly they walked along the narrows paths between trees, bushed and flowers, while her hand rested lightly in the crock of his arm. When they reached a tree full of lovely cheery blossoms, the Queen stopped their way and led Loki to a bench under the tree. For some moments they sat there in silence and just enjoyed each other’s company. When the Queen lightly touched Loki’s hand, he turned slightly and faced her. Their eyes bore into each other’s and after some moments, Loki raised his hand and touched her cheekbone. “You are so beautiful my Queen.” Alarice blushed but smiled at the same time. “Please, call me Alarice.” Loki bowed his head. “As you wish Alarice.” Her name dripped from his tongue like a caress. Their eyes bore into each other once more. “May I kiss you?” Alarice smiled. “I thought you’d never ask.”
