Modern AU: Makoa’s Brunch Cafe (1/2)

I headcanoned Sha Lin and Kinessa being co-workers at Makoa’s brunch cafe in the Modern/Vigilante AU. I’ve had a lot of ideas, but have never drawn anything in regards to the cafe shenanigans. It’s bad, I know. Here are some headcanons:

- Makoa’s cafe is one of the city’s most popular places because of high quality foood and service. It’s has a very comfortable atmosphere, and the choice is music seems to be always fitting. (I’d like to mash Modern AU with Music Industry AU but everyone knows that aint happening)

- Kinessa and Sha Lin are both part time workers. Sha Lin takes the Morning-Afternoon shifts, whereas Kinessa takes on the Afternoon-Evening shift. Both take the afternoon shifts because it happens to be the busiest time of the day. 

- The cafe has some regular customers:

Morning: Lex, Viktor, and Tyra

Afternoon: Talus, Pip, Ying, Cassie, and Fernando

Evening: Skye, Lian, and Strix

This is not an accurate depiction, since champions come and go at relatively sporadic times. This lists the champions that come rather frequently at those times, compared to the others.

- Pip comes to the cafe a lot because Cassie and Ying tend to drag him there. He also really digs the sweet desserts Sha Lin makes for him, exclusive.

- Makoa has an eye for choosing his workers, and his criteria is rather strict: there needs to be a good sense of perception, agility, and situational awareness to even apply. Good cooking skills is a giant plus. Both Kinessa and Sha Lin met the basic (slightly inhumane) requirements, and passed the deadly interview with the ancient himself.

- Kinessa occasionally comes during the morning shifts to help with the preparation. (and she gets extra pay, so there’s no reason for her to NOT come)
