Lucy: I hardly slept last night
George: When you can't sleep, it means someone is thinking about you. Someone who loves you.
Lucy: Who would be thinking about me at 3 a.m.?
Lockwood: [silent panic]
LINNIE TEXT POSTS HAVE RETURNED
I'm just thinking about Lucy in The Hollow Boy having to make the decision to leave, coming to the conclusion that she would eventually be the literal death of Lockwood, and having to carry that weight by herself. Leaving the only stable home she's ever experienced. Can't even communicate to Lockwood that she's leaving because she loves him and she's scared, she's so scared of being the reason he dies. Knowing that he would die for her with no hesitation. Having to go no-contact with her only real family.
This girl is a teenager.
Random L&Co. Headcanons
Lockwood sits in the most dramatic ways in the comfort of their own home, legs sprawled everywhere, feet never touching the floor.
Lucy falls asleep all around the house. Everyone (and I mean everyone, Kipps and Holly included) has found her in some strange position in some strange area at least once.
Lockwood never does the dishes. They have a rota of who's supposed to do it every night but he always gets away with not doing it on his turn. If he does do it, he does it terribly and Lucy or George usually end up having to redo it. (The only time Lockwood has ever done it right was one time it was Lucy's turn and she fell asleep at the table).
(Idk if this is a headcanon or real but I heard it somewhere) George has evil eyes (nazars) everywhere, he hangs them in doorways and he even once gifted Lucy an evil eye necklace.
Lucy loves sitting in the garden in summer, just laying on their overgrown grass in the sun. She tries to drag George and Lockwood out to do it too but George always brings a book of some sort and Lockwood is always too fidgety to truly enjoy it.
George wears mismatched socks, but what people don't realise is that he has an order to the chaos. He pairs up the socks with eachother (I.e. This black patterned sock goes with this white patterned sock).
Lucy and Lockwood can't cook to save their lives.
Lockwood once set fire to a chopping board because he left it on top of the stove and accidentally turned on the hob.
Lucy can't ride a bike, she never learnt how, but one summer she learns how to skateboard as if it was second nature.
George is amazing at getting the perfect gift, he has a list that he writes in everytime someone mentions something they need/want.
