The honest truth is that when I see these pictures I see a lot of my struggles. The constant exhaustion from my thyroid, the 40lbs of extra weight it gave me, my footsteps babying my bad ankle... it's hard to see these and not play the comparison game thinking about where I used to be. However, instead I choose to focus on the positive. I have so many excuses so many reason why I could stop running, and yet I have pushed through and continued on. #savwomenshalf #marathontraining #hypothyroidism #brokenankletomarathon

Happy birthday to me. What a way to ring in 35 - first time I've ever raced on my birthday. I'm not going to lie, it was tough after only one workout in 19 days as I got over the shingles. However, it was beautiful. I slowed it way down, enjoyed the beautiful weather, the flat course, and the BEAUTIFUL tour of Savannah. #savwomenshalf Amazing morning, I am a happy girl.
