So here's a thing:

Imagine an entire high school marching band and all the chaos they cause.

Now imagine that chaos stuck on three buses for several hours and the marching band travels to a different state for a competition, and then all stuck in a hotel overnight even though I doubt any of us will be sleeping.

Well that's how my weekend is going to go, so if anyone wants the stories from the insanity I'm sure will happen, I will be very glad to share how it goes

The Saxophone Section at my School, by Grade

Freshmen: Playing meme songs, complaining about rehearsals, tries to boss around the sophomores,“you know you’re in band when...”

Sophomores: Only plays when told to, tired, done with the Freshmen, honestly just trying to get through the season, “lol I still don’t have the stand tunes memorized”

Juniors: Honestly really good players, blasts high notes at any given opportunity, “next year when I’m section leader...”

Seniors: Carries the section on their backs while playing, also blasting high notes, team bonding, either “oh my god this is the last time I’ll...” or “thank god it’s finally over”

It feels good to be back at dailybandmemes! I was on the Facebook page before it sadly died. I've missed this page more then you'll ever know. BUT now I am back!

The most depressing part of marching band isn't senior night, it's the few days after senior night. The days when you know you have at least one more football game with all of these people you've grown so fond of (my school's last home game is never out last game). But you know it's not the same. Practices are done, spending hours with these people against your own free will is gone, and now you have to actually ask them to hang out after school. It's depressing

Six practices and two football games until the first marching band comp of the season... And I am terrified. We had a great season last year but truthfully I'm not sure if we're ready for this guys. We're gonna hope for the best but I fear the best thing about this competition might be the bus rides there and back
