Making of PLAYGROUND by Rodrigo Sousa

I actually really like dark imagery in cartoons, and one of the movie scenes that inspired that was the scene where Snow White is in the woods and running away from all the freaky things she’s imagining. I’d play out that scene along with the movie as a kid, and when I grew up it helped mold my rather morbid interest in scary animation.

9 hours and 233 layers. It’s a relatively simple looking animation but it was actually quite hard to do. Especially since I’m so new to animation. I probably went a bit over the top but I had a lot of fun working on it
