I just graduated!!
can’t believe I survived, but here I am:)
thanks to all the kind people out there who have wished me good luck through this time<3 I genuinely liked going to school, but this exam season had nearly killed me. I finished my last exam with a good grade, and now I’m finally free!!
I don’t think I’m gonna be much active on here for the next couple of weeks since graduation here is a long party month, but I’ll be back with a lot of fics on the other side :D

Prompt 11 - Out
@jegulus-microfic February 11, Word count 883
Previous part First part
The screams were piercing. They weren’t screams of pain, but rather disgust as over 300 packets of mooncalf dung exploded over the entire school gathered for breakfast. Regulus hurried after James as they moved away from the marble staircase, as hundreds of students and staff members fled the Great Hall, covered head to toe in foul-smelling sludge.
“Do you think we went too far?” Peter asked nervously, watching from their hiding place behind a tapestry, wincing as each horrified person passed by.
“It’ll be worth it at the end,” James reassured them, and after the last set of footsteps faded away, they snuck out of their hiding place and started phase two as the screaming started again. In unison, they raised their wands, and every portrait began singing Alice Cooper’s School’s Out at the top of their lungs.
‘Well, we got no choice
All the girls and boys
Making all that noise
'Cause they found new toys’
Feet began thundering above them as the upper levels made their way back down.
“Huh, I thought they wouldn’t start moving until we set off the clouds?” Remus said, staring upwards.
“Erm, that might be my fault,” Sirius said guiltily.
“You released snails, didn’t you?” Regulus groaned.
“Yeah, I did, but they’re nice this time, I swear,” Sirius held his hands up. “Look,” he took one of the mother-of-pearl-shelled snails out of his pocket and cast a spell on it. They watched as it grew to the size of a small pony, and Sirius hopped onto its shell and began riding it towards the marble staircase and down towards the entrance hall.
‘We can't salute ya
Can't find a flag
If that don't suit ya
That's a drag’
“Well, let’s start the showers,” Remus sighed, and they raised their wands once again. White fluffy clouds formed above them. They quickly turned from light to dark grey, and thunder rumbled throughout the school right before the rain began, but this wasn’t ordinary rain.
As the water hit them, it changed colour, dying their black robes a multitude of colours.
“Loving the ginge, Prongs,” Peter giggled, pointing at James’s new mop of red hair sitting atop his head.
“Yeah, well, you’re starting to resemble a Cornish pixie,” James shot back, throwing his head back and laughing as Peter tried to see his electric blue hair.
“We need to get outside,” Regulus reminded them, and they took off after Sirius, following the rainbow-coloured trail his snail had left behind.
‘School's out for summer
School's out forever
I'm bored to pieces’
Three students came running out of one of the bathrooms just off the staircase, peas pinging off the walls as they shot out of the taps, attacking anyone who tried to run water. The same should have happened in the showers. They watched as the dung that covered the other students was immediately washed away when they ran out into the rainstorm whirling through the castle, and replaced by splotches of colour as they headed down the stairs, their hands above their heads as they hurried outside into the bright summer’s day.
‘Well, we got no class
And we got no principals
And we got no intelligence
We can't even think of a word that rhymes, well’
They hurried forward as the students pooled onto the staircase behind them, blending in with the other colourful students.
‘We can't salute ya
Can't find a flag
If that don't suit ya
That's a drag’
Lily Evans came hurtling out of nowhere, bubblegum pink hair billowing behind her. “JAMES FLEAMONT POTTER!!!” She yelled before tackling him to the ground. Regulus allowed her to pin his fiancé before he dragged her off. Lily shook him off and glared. “I knew they’d drag you down to their level,” she huffed at him. He smiled with a sly smirk at her.
“Oh, darling,” he purred. “My level far surpasses theirs.” Regulus flicked his fingers, and a tidal wave of multicoloured water took Lily, a few other students and at least ten of Sirius’s snails, flooding down the marble staircase.
“She’s going to kill you once we get to the bottom,” Remus snickered.
“Only if we use the main door,” Regulus retorted, and they set off again.
‘School's out for summer
School's out forever
I'm bored to pieces’
They followed the stairs down a few more flights and then turned off. The rain wasn’t as heavy here; this corridor was deserted by the time they got to it.
“I hope Sirius has finished setting up and hasn’t been eaten by his bloody snail,” Peter panted as they jogged towards the lower levels.
“Even if he hasn’t, we’ve still got time,” James answered.
‘No more pencils, no more books
No more teachers, dirty looks
Out for summer, out 'til fall
We might not come back at all’
They took a side passage and used a little-known exit, half concealed by a suit of armour that led to the other side of the greenhouses. The four of them had to push hard against the heavy door, blocked on the other side by overgrown grass, but eventually it gave.
‘School's out for summer
School's out forever
School's out with fever
School's out completely
School's out for summer’
They burst out into the dazzling sun, and now began phase 3.
