Science Side of Tumblr, I have a question about Zombies
Okay so I was thinking about it recently, and the main part of why a human being stops living is because the heart stops working. Before anyone says “it’s also because the brain becomes dead”, I actually also knew that, but that’s because the blood no longer flows to the head, and the heart pumps the blood throughout the body.
Anyways, that begs me two questions. First off, is that why Zombies could be considered “brainless”? Their heart no longer beats, so therefore their head cannot receive blood to allow them to have coherent thoughts, emotions, or movements. Actually, when they’re reanimated, how the hell does that work? Does the heart beat, but just like, way slower??
Second question, if the heart doesn’t beat, then where the hell does the blood go? I mean, based on gravity, I’d only have to assume the feet, right? Does this mean zombies have swollen and red ankles? What if like, the top half of a zombie is pale, but the bottom half is just flushed and red? (Don’t take that out of context you freaks). That also begs the question, what if you turned them upside down? In a few hours, does their brain get enough blood to have coherent thoughts?
Science side of tumblr please help, I don’t know what to do with this information.
