Conceptual art that was drawn during the most miserable period of my life. I was reflecting a lot on my original plans for what I wanted this blog to be, and felt hopeless at the time from the termination of my original blogs and losing a lot of connections. I essentially felt I hit the final dead end and would never be able to actualize the real story of Delusionary Hell; depicted are Cross [Resurrected Johnny], Crucifix [Dead Johnny], Jimmy, and Scolex as characters in the AU. The piece represents the grief in losing art as your most fulfilling avenue of self expression and activism, along with the grief in expecting that your alters will be perpetually shut out by the traumatic circumstances of your life and what feels to be eventual suicide, never being able to show their life through art. The original name to Delusionary Hell before it was finalized was ‘Somewhere Only We Know.’
Anyway, things are still hard, but I just got out of homelessness and things are looking a little more positively even if there is much more work that needs to be done to get to where I need to be. Hang in there if you feel like you’re in a similar place as I was.
