These mini scones are perfect for a quick breakfast or snack. They're tender, slightly sweet, and loaded with mini chocolate chips.
Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 2 1/2 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp salt. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed. 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips. 1/2 cup milk. 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. 1 large egg.
Instructions: Warm your oven up to 400F 200C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Put the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl and mix them together. When you add the cold, cubed butter to the dry ingredients, work it into the mix with your fingers or a pastry cutter until it looks like big crumbs. Toss in the little chocolate chips. Add the milk, vanilla extract, and egg to a different bowl and mix them together using a whisk. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ones and mix them together just until they are mixed. Put the dough on a floured surface and knead it a few times until it starts to stick together. Make a circle out of the dough that is 1/2 inch thick. Then, use a mini scone or biscuit cutter to cut out scones. Put the scones on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until they are just beginning to turn golden brown. Let the mini scones cool down a bit before you serve them. Have fun with your tasty mini scones!
