WARNING: CONTIANS MEANTIONS OF BEING BURIED ALIVE AND DAPHNE BEING ALMOST BURIED ALIVE!
**Last Night, Silva Family Historic House: Closed**
"Let's go, Celina. This place gives me the creeps," Christina yelled to her fellow tour guide from the lobby.
"Hang on, I just need to find my keys!" Celina yelled, looking under the table in the parlor.
Christina, bored, pulled out her phone and started calling their other friends to tell them she and Celina will be late. At the same time Celina is using her phone flashlight to check for her keys under every bit of furniture in the parlor room. Under the sofa her keys reflect in the light. Celina grabs them and pulls herself off the floor.
"Found them! Let's go!" Celina yelled.
With keys in hand, she turns to leave, walking through the darkened halls towards the lobby. As she walked she felt like someone was watching her, but she was used to it, after all photos and paintings of Mr. and Mrs. Silva lined the halls. So Celina tried to ignore it but as she passed the ballroom she heard the sounds of someone moving around inside.
"Christina? Is that you?" Celina asked.
She stepped foot into the ballroom but didn't see anyone inside. She goes to flip on the light, but the lights don't come on. Celina shrugged and turned to leave, only to hear movement from behind her.
"Christina, what the hell?!" Celina yelled, only to freeze.
In the center of the ballroom stood a figure in the darkness. Then piano music and a female singing voice came on from nowhere. In the lobby Christina heard the music. Confused, she followed the music, only to be stopped by someone in front of her in the dark. She called out Celina's name but the figure didn't respond, instead the lights in the hall came on and Christina could see whoever it was dressed in a damaged suit, then the figure lifted their head, and showed their face, the face of the man in the paintings around the home. Christina screamed and ran, while Celina was being chased around the ballroom by the figure she couldn't see. When Christina ran into Celina the two went towards the door, only for the doors to slam shut and the two figures cornering them in the dark.
The two back into a corner as the figures get closer and grab them. The pair scream, but it's useless, as the only ones to hear are the figures dragging them away.
**Next Day, Saturday, 1:43 pm**
"Like, I still don't get why we're here?" Shaggy asks.
"Because Fred pushed off his history assignment till the last minute," Daphne says with a sigh.
"And I've always wanted to visit this place," Velma says.
Shaggy looks over her shoulder at the pamphlet in Velma's hands that reads "Silva Family Historic House". As the gang approaches the doors they hear what sounds like an argument from inside. Fred goes to open the door when it bursts open and two women, Christina and Celina, storm out with a short, chubby tan man with black hair, coke bottle glasses, and a bright red sweater vest, khakis, and loafers follows behind them.
"Please, you can't quit on me. I'll give you each a 10% raise, just please stay!" The man begs.
"No way! We almost got buried alive last night! And this place can't afford a 2% raise, never mind 10%!" Christina yells.
"Please, Christina, Celina. I can't run this place without you!" The man begs more.
The girls leave, hoping into their car and driving away. The man is on his knees on the steps, crying. The gang watches in uncomfortable silence, not sure what to do. The man suddenly notices them and springs back up as if nothing happened. He holds out his hand and introduces himself as Mr. Williams and asks the gang if they're there for a tour. They collectively say yes and Mr.Williams leads them inside the house and begins his tour.
"Jinkies, who's that?" Velma says, pointing to a large painting over the mantle.
The painting was of a couple, a tall man dressed in a suit with a curly mustache and cropped hair both in a shade of ginger with peach skin and a stern stormy eyed stare and a woman with golden locks pulled into a low chignon hairstyle with the held of a white ribbon, pale skin, rosy cheeks and lips, and eyes the color of emeralds dressed in a lavender gown with lace, sapphire blue accents, and what looked like what must've been pounds of silver and golden jewelry with corful gemstones in every piece.
"Oh, that is Ezekiel Silva and his wife, Prudence Lewis. They were this home's first and only residents. Ezekiel had this home built in 1858, paying for it with the wealth he earned during his early years as the owner of several gold, silver, and gem mines in this area," Mr.Williams says.
"And Prudence?" Velma asks.
"Oh she-" Mr.Williams starts.
"She was a witch. She could talk with things beyond the veil, ghosts, fairies, the kinds of things that go bump in the night and she knew how to summon them too, " A raspy female voice interupts.
The gang looks and emerging from a hallway is a tall middle aged woman with red frame cat eye style glasses, dressed in a dark pink carrtigan, white blouse, tea legnth yellow circle skirt, white stockings, and brown leather shoes. She looked like the woman in the painting, only without the jewlery, her locks being more of a shift from gold to silver and with a mole on her chin. Mr.Williams turns towards the woman and then the gang, introducing her to them.
"This is the home's long time caretaker, Ms.Rosaline Stein," Mr.Willaims says.
The gang waves and says hello and Mr.Williams asks Rosaline what she needs. Rosaline asks where Christina and Celina are and Mr.Willaims tells her that they quit. She sighs and mumbles out something about this being the "sixth time this week" and how "staff are dropping like flies becuase of the ghosts". That catches Velma's attention and she walks towards Rosaline, asking her what she means by ghosts. Rosaline explains with a sigh that Prudence Lewis was said to dabble in witchcraft and summoning, even owning a crow familair named Old Bessie.
"She loved Ezekiel in ever way and he loved her back. However, it didn't last as both of them got cholera and died. Well, except both Ezekiel and Prudence were still alive, but Ezekiel's brother wanted their wealth, so he paid for them to be buried as quickly as they could so no one would catch on they were still alive. In anger, Prudence is said to have used her last breath under the soil to utter a curse that anyone who touches their fortune would face the same fate as her and her love as they hear the echoes of the pair's wedding song ringing through their ears," Rosaline says.
"Jeppers, that's horrible! Who could do that to their own family?" Daphne exclaims in horror.
Mr.Williams interjects, saying that it's only rumor and the truth is that Prudence was an artist who painted most of the paintings in the home, and that her and Ezekiel both died in 1864 from cholera and that Prudence was only called a witch because of her pet crow Old Bessie. Rosaline rolls her eyes, asking Mr.Williams to explain why people keep quiting. Mr.WIllaims points a finger at Rosaline, saying it's her fault for making them all scared while she yells back that it's because he's been trying to open the safe found in the basement and because of that Ezekiel and Prudence have come back to bury everyone alive! Rosaline walks away, telling the gang they should leave while they can.
"Well now... Who wants to see Prudence's art studio?" Mr.Williams asks.
The gang, speechless, follows Mr.Willaims up the stairs to the ary studio, telling the gang more about Prudence's artistic career. Fred thanks him for all the great material for his report and Mr.WIllaims says it's just his goal to share history with future generations, though he mumbles that at this rate he might not be able to.
"Because of the ghosts," Daphne says.
"I... Yes. Ever since those ghosts showed up people have been getting hurt and are too scared to visit. If I can't bring in more money soon I'll have to close down and if I close down then the legacy of Prudence and Ezekiel will be split up," Mr.Willaims says with sadness.
Fred steps forward, saying that he and the gang will help. Mr.Willaims says he appreciates the thought but there isn't much four teens and a dog can do when Fred offers to do it for free. Desperate, Mr.Willaims agrees and says that the gang can start investigating after touring hours tonight. Fred agrees when a voice is heard from behind them, a voice that causes Mr.Willaims to let out a tired sigh.
"Hurry up and close, will you. I would like to have my family's treasures back," a voice smooth as butter but deadpan says with an annoyed tone.
The gang turns and standing in the doorway is a tall young woman with olive skin, blue eyes, black hair in a bob and dressed in a pair of paint stained pedal pusher pants, orange flower top, a black leather jacket also covered in paint, and a pair of platform sandals. Mr.Willaims lets out another sigh, telling the woman that his hands are tied about giving back items in the house and that it's not his fault her grandfather sold the house and items to the town. The woman says that her grandfather was a fool and that she'll get back the items if it's the last thing she does! She storms out of the room and Fred asks Mr.Willaims who she is.
"That's Robin Silva. Her and her brother Sam have been trying to get back the house for years, and for some reason , they think bothering me will magically invalidate the fact that their grandfather sold the house and everything in it to the town for historic preservation," Mr. Willaims explains.
He moves on, showing the gang more of the house. By the time they all return to the lobby a young man is standing in the lobby talking with another young man. Mr.Willaims walks over to the olive skinned young man with long black hair and brown eyes dressed in a purple tank top, flared jeans, and brown chelsea boots and ask him what he wants.
"Just wanted to let you know you can expect to be hear from my lawyer soon, Williams," the young man says before leaving.
Mr.Willaims massages his temple while the remaining young man takes a deep breath. Shaggy asks if the guy who just left is Sam and Mr.Willaims nods his head. Shaggy then asks who the other young man, who is tall, thin, with curly blonde hair and green eyes, dressed in a short sleeve polo, khakis and oxford shoes is.
"I'm Mark, assistant curator," he says proudly.
The gang greets Mark and Mr.Williams explain to Mark about the gang investigating the ghosts. Mark says that isn't a good idea if the curse is true but Fred steps up and says the gang isn't scare dof anything, to which Shaggy and Scooby say tat they are very much afraid.
"See you tonight, Mr.Willaims," Fred says as the gang leaves.
Mr.Willaims waves goodbye and the gang gets in the Mysteyr Machine to go about their day.
**TIMESKIP**
Fred pulls into the parking lot and the gang piles out, walking to the door. Daphne knocks and Miles opens the door, ushering the gang inside. He says Mr.Willaims and him will be in the office if they need anything. With that the gang splits up. Scooby and Shaggy beeline it towards the kitchen, Velma investigates the study, and Fred and Daphne investigate Prudence's art studio.
**Kitchen**
Shaggy and Scooby go looking for snacks but are having no luck, not even a crumb of food is left and they're starving. As Scooby sniffs around he suddenly sneezes. Shaggy says bless you just as a scent catches his nose.
"Like, you smell that Scooby?" He asks.
"Reah, rit smell rike repperrint," Scooby says.
Scooby follows the trail, only to find it leads to the empty pantry. Shaggy looks inside and is only greeted with an angry rat that hisses at him, causing him to stumble back in fear and bump into Scooby as the rat runs off.
**Art Studio**
Fred shines his light around the large space, finding nothing but wall after wall covered in paintings. He asks Daphne if she's had any luck and she says no and asks Fred if he had any luck and he says no. As the pair poke around the furniture they find nothing.
"I really hope the others are having better luck than us," Daphne says.
"Me too," Fred responds.
Daphne suggests checking another room and Fred suggests the parlor. The two exit the studio and go down the stairs to the parlor, hoping that maybe they'll find a clue.
**Ezekiel's Study**
Velma checks the bookshelf for anything that could explain the ghosts when something almost falls on her head. Rubbing the sour spot she looks down and sees a book, more specifically a notebook. She can feel the plastic of the cover, and the lack of dusk, meaning it's modern and new. She puts it on the desk and opens it, seeing the first page covered in numbers with a few scribbles and notes. She flips to the next page, and the next page, and the next, and the next. Every page she turns to is covered in scribbled notes and numbers that look almost like combinations to something, but Velma had no idea what. She pulls out her phone to call Fred and tell him what she found when the sound of music was heard faintly from the halls. Velma pokes her head out and see nothing. She leaves the study and dials Fred's phone number, only to hear footsteps behind her. She turns around and again sees nothing.
"Fred, I think I found something. I'll meet you in- ahhh!" Velma says.
She whips around and a man us gripping her wrist with his freezing hand. She pulls away and runs, the figure in hot pursuit. The figure chases after her as she rushes down the hallway and towards the stairs, almost tripping as she does so. The figure tries to grab her but misses by mere inches.
Fred and Daphne running towards the stairs while Shaggy and Scooby are bolting from the kitchen, the ghost of Prudence seemingly chasing them. Once Velma is on the floor the gang all runs from both figures, yelling in fear and panic all the way out the door and into the van.
"Wait, Miles and Mr.Willaims are still in there!" Daphne yells.
Fred jumps out of the van, along with Shaggy and Daphne, and the two run back into the house, only the figures are gone and there's not a single sound. The gang yells out to Mr.Williams and Miles but there's no answer. The go to Mr.Willaims office and Fred goes to open the door but before he can the doorknob rattles as if someone on the other side is trying to open the door. The gang tenses up, ready to face the ghosts again but instead it's a confused looking Mark.
"Why were you guys yelling earlier?" He asks.
"You... didn't like hear it?" Shaggy asks.
Mark shakes his head and Daphne explains that they were chased by the ghosts. Mark asks if everyone's ok but at that moment the sound of tires squealing is heard. They all run outside and see a car pulling away. Daphne snaps a picture of the license plate just as the car leaves that she can just barely see thanks to the night vision setting. Mr.Willaims get told about what happened with the ghosts and he starts lamenting that asking the gang to help was a mistake and Fred tells him that they won't give up.
"Well, thank you kids. Well, see you tomorrow," he says as he and Makr disappear back inside.
The gang gets in the van and Daphne asks Velma about what she wanted to show her and Fred earlier. Velma pulls out the notebook and explains that it is clearly modern and is filled with number combinations but to what, she has not a clue. She asks if the others found anything and Shaggy and Scooby say all they found was dust, a family of angry rats, and the smell of peppermint while Daphne says she and Fred also found nothing useful in the art studio or the parlor.
**Next Day**
The gang arrives at the house, only to see a police car. They get out and see Sam and Robin being taken in handcuffs as Mr.Willaims watches from the door.
"Hold the phone, what happened?" Fred asks.
"These two are under arrest for stealing from Crystal Cove," Sheriff Stone says.
Robin yells back that shee and Sam didn't steal anything while Mr.Williams yells back that if that were true then why was all of Prudence's jewelry in the trunk of their car. He points to the car, pointing to it for emphasis and Daphne's eyes widen. She pulls out her phone and compares the license plate photo from last night. Sheriff Stone asks what they're doing and Daphne shows the picture, pointing out that the picture matches the plate.
"I'm telling you we weren't here last night!" Sam yells.
"Right, so your plates just happen to be on someone else's car?" Sheriff Stone asks, his tone very dismissive and sarcastic.
"You're really taking the word of a teenager?" Robin yells out in indignation.
Sheriff Stone closes the car door and drives away while Mr.Williams tells the gang that he's sorry they had to see that. The gang brushes it off and goes to enter the house when Mark stops then, saying that the house is closed early. When Velma points out that the mystery of the ghosts hasn't technically been solved Mark just rolls his eyes. Mr.Williams turns to the gang, telling them that Makr is right and that while he thanks them for their help, the case is closed now. He shuts the door in their faces and the gang looks at each other.
"It just doesn't make sense," Velma mutters.
"Like, what doesn't?" Shaggy asks.
"Look at Sam and Robin's car, it's bright yellow and the car in Daphne's photo might as well be part of the night sky. Plus, I got some pictures of tire tracks last night and the tread patterns don't match. Sam and Robin's car has summer tires while the tire treads from the car in the photo are all terrain," she explains.
"So that means, someone else is the ghosts and they're using Sam and Robin as cover," Fred declares.
Velma nods, saying they need to take a better look inside the house, but Shaggy points out that Mr.Willaims and Mark just closed the door in their faces, to which Velma suggests that a house like this must have bulkhead doors that lead to the basement. The gang starts looking around for any signs of bulkhead doors but don't find anything at first until Scooby slams his paw into it by mistake. Now gathering around the doors, Fred and Shaggy open the doors, the steps and dark basement greeting them. Shaggy and Scooby back away, saying they're not going in there.
"No even for a Scooby Snack?" Velma asks.
"No way, man," Shaggy says, with Scooby parroting thw phrase back.
"How about a whole box of Scooby snacks?" Velma asks.
The two hem and haw for only a moment before agreeing, taking the box from Velma as the gang enters the basement. Though the moment they're inside the doors slam shut. Fred tries to open the door but it doesn't move an inch. With nothing else, the gang start looking around, finding nothing exciting until Daphne finds a large hole in the packed dirt floor. She shines her flashlight into the hole and something reflects the light. She crouches down to try and reach whatever's in the hole when someone shoves her in and begins filling the hole with dirt. Daphne turns herself around and looks up, seeing Ezekiel's face smiling down as more and more dirt gets tossed on top of her. She screams and the other hear, rushing towards the sound only to be stopped by Prudence, who chases them every time they try to get close to Daphne.
"Scooby, dig her out!" Fred yells.
Scooby nods and runs towards the hole and starts digging while the others keeps the two ghosts busy. Scooby digs as fast as he can until Daphne can stick her arms out. Fred runs by the hole and he grabs Daphne's hands, pulling her up and out of the hole before running out of the main basement door, the rest of the gang behind him as the ghosts chased them.
"I was so scared, Freddie!" Daphne says.
"You're gonna be alright, Daph," he says.
The gang runs into the parlor and hides, staying absolutely still as the ghosts move around the room, looking for them. The ghosts eventually leave and the gang comes out from their hiding spots and Fred asks Daphne how she's feeling. She says she's better now and Velma asks what Daphne was doing near the hole. Daphne explains that she saw something inside it and she tried to grab it. The gang sneaks back down into the basement and back to the hole, no ghosts in sight. Scooby digs further into the hole until he reaches the bottom and pops back out with something in his mouth. The gang then starts hearing the music again and without hesitation They bolt out of the basement and out the from door and into the van, locking all the doors and windows.
Once they calm down a bit, Scooby drops what was in his mouth and Velma looks at it, and she can tell it's a piece of something but not exactly what. Then Velma remembers the notebook and she tells Fred to drive to her house. He agrees and starts the van. At Velma's house the gang sits with Mrs.Dinkley as Velma shows her the piece, asking what she thinks it is.
"If I had to guess, it looks like part of the autodialer your father bought," she says.
"Since when did dad buy an autodialer?" Velma asks.
"Since he got sick of paying a locksmith every time someone forgets the combinations to things at the museum," she says with a chuckle.
Velma thanks her mom and leads the gang to her room, pulling out the notebook, saying that she thinks the numbers are combinations. Daphne than points out that if whomever is doing this has acess to an autodialer, why even bother trying to figure out the combination. Fred then remembers that while he was delivering voting pamphlets for his dad, he overheard a local locksmith filing a theft report, of an autodialer, but the gang has no proof that the locksmith's autodialer and the piece of autodialer they found are the same thing, so Fred offers to take the piece and figure out if it matches. Velma agrees and puts the piece in a plastic bag before handing it to Fred. Fred takes it and everyone but Velma follows him out to the van and gets in.
**A Week Later*
"The locksmith said that the piece is the same model as his," Fred tells the gang.
Velma lets out a sigh at the lack of a definitive answer, but asks Fred what model the locksmith has and Fred tells her. She write it down just as the gang parks in front of the house as Velma lays out the plan Shaggy and Scooby will distract Mr.Willaims and Mark while she, Fred, and Daphne investigate the basement as clear there's something down there the ghosts are trying to hide. The gang exits the van and Velma looks around absent mindedly when her eyes land on a car with tinted windows and an almost pure black color and she takes a picture of the license plate. Velma, Daphne, and Fred sneak off to the bulkhead doors while Shaggy and Scooby go inside with a random tour group.
**Basement***
Velma, Fred, and Daphne inspect every inch of the basement with their flashlights but still find nothing even vaguely shaped like a safe or combination lock. They were starting to get frustrated at the thought they the gang wasted their time on a dead end mystery when Velma felt something off about one of the walls. While one part of the wall was rough, solid stone another part was cold and smooth. She yells for Fred and Daphne and the three shine their lights onto whatever Velma found.
"Is that a safe?" Fred asks.
"Looks like it, and look, the autodialer!" Velma exclaims, pointing to a damaged autodialer.
**Parlor**
Shaggy and Scooby are paying attention to Mr.Williams lecture, ready and willing to ask questions to distract him but some tourists had that covered so they were just keeping an eye out for the ghosts. As Mr.Williams talks about how the chaise was a wedding gift to Prudence from her mother, Scooby notices something odd about Mr.Williams, more specifically, his shoes. A portion of the brown loafers near the sole had every clear signs of dirt sticking to them. Scooby tugs on Shaggy's sleeve and point it out.
"Like, excuse me. Why is there dirt on your shoes? You could like, track prints all over the floor, man," Shaggy exclaims.
"Oh, well, the landscaping folks just laid down some new dirt for the floors and I might have stepped in some," Mr.Willaims says before returning to his lecture.
Shaggy and Scooby share a look, something in their guts disagreeing with what Mr.Willaims is saying.
**Basement**
Fred shines his flashlight around the area of the safe and autodialer and sees footprints that don't belong to him, Daphne, or Velma. In fact, there appear to be two sets of footprints that don't belong to either of them. They quickly snap pictures of the safe, autodialer, and and footprints before heading back up to regroup with Shaggy amd Scooby. They exit the bulkhead doors and walk across the lawn, where they see Mark walking away from the black car with tinted windows. Curious, they sneak closer to the car once Mark is gone but nothing is out of place. They see Shaggy and Scooby come out with the tour group and the gang gets back together and Shaggy and Scooby get shown what was found in the basement.
"Well, during the tour I noticed that Mr.Willaims shoes were covered in dirt but he said it was from a landscaper putting new dirt in the flower beds," Shaggy says.
"Really, those flowers, the ones protected by a fence and are in raised, stone gardens?" Velma asks rhetorically.
Shaggy and Scooby nod. When Dpahne tries to find a connection Velma says that at home, she looked up Mr.Williams and Mark, and found out they worked in other historic sites, ones that just happen to be robbed of highly valuable items. Shaggy jokes that the pair are robber magents but Velma isn't laughing, as the pieces fall into place. She turns to Fred and without a word he knows what to do.
**Hours Later**
"I can't believes they talked us into this," Shaggy says as he wanders the small basement.
"Rupid Sooby Sacks," Scooby mutters under his breath.
"Hey, Scooby snacks are not stupid," Shaggy scolds.
"Reah, Rye row," Scooby responds with a reluctant sigh.
As the two get closer to the safe they hear the music and freeze, feeling something, or many somethings, behind them. They slowly turn and see the ghosts, scream and run up the stairs. The ghosts follow them out the interior basement and out of the kitchen. Shaggy and Scooby are screaming in terror as the ghosts get closer while the others lay in waiting to spring Fred's trap, a simple contraption of ropes, sandbags, and nets. Once Shaggy and Scooby run up the main stairs they trip on the tripwire meant for the ghosts and fall into the net that snatches them up, leaving the rest of the gang exposed. The ghosts turn to them and the other three run as fast as they can with the ghosts hot on their heels.
The ghost of Ezekiel grabs Velma and she tomps on his foot. He lets go and she gets away. By now Shaggy and Scooby have freed themselves, becoming targets once again. The ghosts chase the gang around the top floor of the house until Shaggy and Scooby try to run down the main stairs, they trip yet again and fall in a heap down the stairs. The ghosts chase after them, also tripping and falling. Shaggy and Scooby move out of the way as the two ghosts land in a heap on the rug. The rest of the gang runs down and while the ghosts try and situate themselves, the gang rols the carpet up with the ghosts inside and ties it so they can't escape.
"So you're saying, I got the wrong people!" Sheriff Stone exclaims in annoyance.
"Afraid so. Though, they are connected to this mystery," Velma says.
Sam says to just get this over with and Velma rips off the two ghost's masks. Underneath an annoyed Mr.Williams and Mark glare up at the gang. Sheriff Stone, Sam, and Robin all express how they have no idea what's going on.
"You see, Mr.Williams the curator and Mark the assistant are just covers. These two are actually Jack Williams and Mark Murphy," Velma says.
"But, why?" Robin asks.
"Because, there's a whole fortune in there just waiting for us!" Jack exclaims
"Still doesn't explain the ghosts costumes," Sheriff Stone comments.
"Easy, they were using them to scare people away while they tried to Crack open the safe and steal the fortune," Fred explains.
Mark confirms it, saying that this was he and Jack's big score but when they saw the safe, realized it would take a lot more effort, so they first tried and autodialer, which obviously failed, so they tried other ways of getting open but nothing worked.
"Of course, when jackass slipped up and said something, suddenly we have those two vultures breathing down our necks and more tourists wanting to see the cursed fortune. So, after that old bat told us the story about the curse, we came up witht he plan to us it," Mark complains.
"And what about us?" Sam asks.
"Simple, with you too making multiple public scenes, it would look like you two would have motive to be the ghosts and thus , you would get arrested , while these two took the fortune and escaped, Velma explains.
"Exactly, but then you kids would not quit, so we had to get rid of you," Jack says.
Velma then mentions the car and Makr and Jack start arguing. Sheriff Stone has a deputy check the trunk and they find a false bottom, that once removed shows a stash of jewlery stolen from the house earlier. Sheriff Stone puts the pair in handcuffs and walks them to the police car.
"And we would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!" Jack yells before the car door is slammed shut.
The police drive away and Sam and Robin turn to Rosaline, apologizing for being such a pain all these years but they just really wanted their family's stuff back. Rosaline leads the two inside, willing to discuss it. The gang gets back in the van and start the drive back home, feeling better that they solved the mystery and might've helped spark a better future.
