Big tomodachi post! (More under cut)
Me and vriska got married!
Hey, Mod Uminoko here again! Today on Funky Friday I’ll be starting a little mini-series where I cover enemies from the Wonderland series of games, for PC. They’re really obscure games but I grew up with them and want to share them with everyone.
That being said, let’s see our first enemy!
Name: Scouge
Debut: Wonderland
This particularly angry cannon loves to sit around and intermittently shoot out flaming balls of fire. If these fireballs hit you, you’re toast. Yowch! Don’t let them hit your boxes either, they’ll break on impact. Although that may be good in some cases...
Thankfully, they’re pretty easy to work around. Usually you have some breathing room before and after the tiles they’re on, so you can stop and think before you walk through their line of fire.
...
...Usually.
Anyways, one thing to note is that they don’t go by friendly fire! Any other of the weird foes you’ll encounter (Which I will not show yet in order to not ruin the surprise for future posts in this series) can also be slain in one fell swoop by this funny cannon! You can even redirect their fireballs off of pushable mirrors.
Makes me think, actually, how else could these guys be used to our advantage?
Name: Push Scouge
Debut: Return To Wonderland
Ah yes, in the sequel, they introduced pushable versions of these guys! What a wonder. I love them. They’ll only fire when you aren’t pushing them, so feel free to get your hands all up in the front side of their blast ch
uh sorry to cut myself off but while I was writing this post and I had the game open to take screenshots it started blaring an alarm clock sound at me and yelling “time is running out” and I think I almost had a heart attack. I muted the game audio beforehand, it shouldn’t have been able to do that.
Anyways, see you all next time, where I’ll be covering a slinky most dangerous...
You know the more antis my ships get the more encouraged i am to ship it

Okay, so I’m jumping the gun on @taraum but I have to tell y’all a story about fandom & Motivations and just like LIFE okay?
So back a few years ago before the Great Depression the Traumatic Birth Incident of 2015 I had a kid, I stalked followed @taraum on ff.net. Even those last few years when I couldn’t write, I’d still come back and reread Motivations, usually leaving a comment or seventeen. I absolutely idolized her and her work.
So the last round was this past fall, when I’d finally kicked depression’s ass and wandered back into SWTOR fandom, and I got all up in her comments again with OMG HI REMEMBER ME? And we connected on twitter and here and FB and we even had dinner once when I was in her neck of the woods (which let me tell you, hang out with your internet friends in person, it’s a blast). Bless her soul, she betas stuff for me, even while working ridiculous hours, and just in general tolerates my absolute fucking nonsense. And then she comments on my shit that she already beta read. She is kind and encouraging and so incredibly talented, and if it weren’t for calendars I’d swear we’d been friends for years. I guess we kinda have been.
I really wanted her to post Motivations on AO3 because it deserves the attention, and please, y’all motherfuckers you LOVE Scourge, I see you there.
tl;dr @taraum is an amazing writer & person, and you should really read Motivations.
I’m up browsing wikis preparing for my night shift starting in a few days and I just found out that, had X-Men: Evolution continued, Scott and Rogue would have started a romantic relationship and I just !!! That’s kind of a big deal to me, because I always thought there were hints between them in the show and it’s nice to have this validation and know that the signs I saw weren’t just me watching with shipper goggles, but legit moments that the studio put in on purpose.
Party at the 8each down in Copaca8ana!
