Lord have mercy I’m semi-back in my SCP phase....

I been re-binge-watching basically any SCP explained videos that I can (Detective Void, Dr. Bob, SCP Exposed, SCP: Tales from the Foundation, The Rubber, etc etc)

And I watched one about SCP-069 (who surprisingly has nothing to do with spicy stuff even though it’s the funny s3x number). SCP-069 ‘Second Chance’ in a nutshell is a shapeshifting creature that takes the form, memories, voice, and overall existence of whoever dies in it’s nearest vicinity- then have the sudden urge to ‘get it’s life in order’. (Side note: the body of the original person vanishes)

If I had to put it simply- if I suddenly died nearby SCP-069, then it’ll teleport to my location, change it’s entire body to match my exact DNA structure/shapeshift into me, and obtain all my memories. SCP-069 from that moment it becomes ‘me’ will genuinely think that it is me- but then feels the need to pay back debts, write/rewrite my will, etc.

And thus, I maniacally rubbed my dumb little simp hands together and thought of an angst potential;

Imagine you or an OC (with whoever you ship you/them with) dying, and not knowing that you were actually a supernatural/anomalous imposter. Would they already be aware that the real you/OC was dead? How would they react to learning of the truth?
