That moment when you get inspiration to draw a character, but you somehow don’t have any shades of the colour you need. All my red pens are either finished or missing? Pink is also gone? So I just did it on ibis paint 😭✌️ The sketch is below. Please ignore the eraser bits
Why I call SCP 166 Epon instead of Meri (with headcanons)
Disclaimer: I'm not saying you shouldn't call her Meri, I'm just spewing my reasons and headcanons. And yes I am fully aware that no one asked for this but I really wanna get this out there.
1) In SCP 4231 when 166 is born, Lilly (not Clef/Francis) is the one to name her Meri. The article directly states, "Lilly had chosen the name, because Lilly chose everything." In my headcanon, Francis, after killing Lilly, renamed her Epon so she would remind him a little less of his abuser (or he just wanted to have a say in something).
2) If you think about it, Meri and Epon would basically be two completely different people. If Lilly hadn't been killed, she would have been the biggest influence on 166 since she was clearly the more dominant on in the relationship. Meri would have become like her mother: an abusive asshole. However, Lilly was killed which resulted in Francis trying to escape and getting lost in the house which was being affected by his paranoia mixed with him being a type green, which resulted in the foundation gaining custody of him, and him having to give up his child to the Abbey in Cornwall. Now because all that happened and we don't know exactly how well the Abbey treated her, we don't exactly know what her personality is. Most (like myself) like to think she's an asshole with a heart of gold or tsundere-ish. Others think of her as a sweet girl or a feral forest beast that rips out the hearts of men. But I'm sure we can all agree that if Francis wasn't taken by the foundation, and 166 was raised as Epon, she would definitely have ended up being a sweet, innocent girl who cares deeply about her father.
3) I just like the name Epon. It sounds exotic in a beautiful way.
So yeah that's my reasoning, hope you guys don't take this too seriously.
