Okay I've gotta ask: did you also see the Narnia films Back In The Day when they were fresh in the cinema, and if so, was it also weird for you to see Ben Barnes become the face of the internet's favorite Morally Ambiguous White Men when you previously knew him as Prince Caspian? Because that was my experience and it was VERY weird lmao, I need to know if other people went through that.

yes i saw all the narnia films in theaters and okay SO. i have a complicated past relationship with ben barnes as caspian bc EVERYONE i knew esp when votdt came out was like obsessed with him for being hot i guess and also my sister participated in this and i was sworn to hate any man my sister pretended to like bc i'm a born hater. of course. so for years and years and years i was like "i don't like prince caspian, he sucks and his romance was stupid" <- forgot to mention. was also a born hater for suspian at the tender age of 7 because even then i could recognize that was not in the books and was adding literally nothing compelling to the movie or either character. (this all being pre-caspeter, btw. caspeter was a 2024 development.) (as was my newfound understanding of caspian as a character. i'm so sorry sir you did not deserve so many years of my ire).

so BASICALLY on top of having parents who were very strict about what i could watch and a tendency to be completely oblivious about what actor is in what movie and failing to keep up with movies/shows at all, the only other piece of media i've seen ben barnes in is actually shadow & bone, and when i learned that i was like "oh it's my good friend prince caspian. what is my good friend prince caspian doing as the darkling". i actually know very little about anything else he (or any of the other main narnia cast tbh) have acted in other than. i recall he was dorian gray. and he used to(?) do shakespeare. to me he'll always be caspian lmaoooo. similar experience to everyone i know associating hugo weaving with playing villains but i saw him first as elrond so i see him and i'm like oh my good friend elrond what are You doing here. yknow. i'm not confronted with it often but when i am it's like "wait no where's caspian. and also his accent."

I HAVE A LYSANDROS HEADCANON ACTUALLY, so Spartan men weren't allowed to get married until they were thirty, right? And I know God of War doesn't know what historical accuracy is, but I'm pretending that's still the case, and basically Kratos met Lysandra in his late twenties and nearly IMMEDIATELY was like "...I'm marrying her." Stuck to that the whole time. They got married as soon as humanly possible once he hit thirty.

PLEASE I LOVE THIS SO MUCH 😭❤️💖💕💖 I can imagine Kratos meeting up with Lysandra every so often before then and just telling her his plans on them getting married and almost busting her door down the day he turns 30 to marry her-

I actually skipped out on reading the last GoW comics; I saw sneak peeks online and wasn't really impressed (if they've got all of them bundled into one book, I'll probably get it just to add to the collection). I DID read the novelizations though (yes, all three lol) and I have to say I liked the novels for GoW 1 and 2 more than the one for GoW 2018. Kratos had more character and was generally more interesting to read about, like there was more than just his rage and self loathing at play. And it didn't help that he was a massive dick to Atreus in the novel, which is the complete opposite of what he was in game.

I think they really dropped the ball with Fallen God, which is disappointing because there was so much they could've done. But it's just a constant repeat of recycled events.

Here's to hoping I'm wrong about the final issue ;;

Daredevil the Film

That movie is a fucking masterpiece and I will go down swinging about this because listen

putting aside the fact that it, along with other films that we now pretend we always hated, helped to jumpstart the superhero movie genre--look how far we’ve come--and also putting aside the wonderful entirety of the scene that was Colin Farrell shooting darts and killing dudes to Irish rap music

this is the movie that introduced Evanescence to the greater world and don’t you fucking forget this debt that we owe. Hot Topic would not exist without Daredevil, you uncultured swine.
