Hey guys! So I was just certified as a transcriber through Scribie and I wanted to recommend it to anyone who is looking for a supplement to their income or something cool to do. It’s not the highest paying gig and it’s not for everyone but if you think it might be something you’re good at, I recommend checking it out through the link and giving it a chance.

My experience so far has been pretty great. Its not a long process to sign up, they pay through paypal. You have some requirements but its pretty consistent work, and they even pay for the test file you submit. You have up to 10 chances and you get to choose your audio files.

Looking for online work?

I HIGHLY recommend scribie.com for online transcription work. It’s a short process. I had to fill out and application (simple things, like your name, email, hours a day you spend online, etc.), and then they sent me a link to their transcription test. If you pass, you become a certified transcriptionist, and they pay you for the test. You get paid 10$ per audio hour. Basically, you get two hours to transcribe a six minute audio file, and you get 1$ per file. Ten of these makes sixty minutes and ten dollars. So basically, the faster you can type, the more money you can make. Also, if you transcribe 3 hours worth of files a month, you automatically get a ten dollar bonus. Eventually, you can even become a reviewer and make twice as much. This is perfect for a college student without a car, such as myself. Please use my referral link if you decide to sign up.
