The look of realisation and fear on Ace’s face shows a different side to him. Glad to see you again. Two things though: Mr. 3 did instantly know it was Mr. 2. Maybe the anime did something different but he did. And also Magellan is a paramecia. He just looks like he can turn into poison because he’s coated in it.

For some reason, I imagined Magellan being defeated by somehow getting all his poison crystallized. (sigh) That doesn't happen in the show, but I sure wish it did.
I thought Luffy would be able to melt the poison (there was a scene where Magellan’s poison didn’t react well to fire) but it didn’t work out that way in the end. Back to the drawing board!

Bon-chan was one of my top faves in the Alabasta arc and I kind of hoped he’d escaped Hina. I suppose it’s turned out well in the end because if he had escaped, I wouldn’t have seen him again in Impel Down. ^_^
If Oda knows who Luffy’s mother is but queries her relevance, I’m guessing she’s not important enough to the plot to matter (which is quite sad, actually, though stereotypically shounen).
Luffy and Magellan’s fight was great. Very creative and the pace was blistering.

I wondered about the new movie coming out. I’m guessing it will be riddled with spoilers. Hopefully, the local theatre won’t pick it up. Then I won’t be tempted.

I missed your blog posts, they’re so fun to read!People in One Piece can be really tall, but Luffy and Bon-chan (OKAMA WAY!!) aren’t, Luffy’s 172cm (5'7½") while some other characters, like Doflamingo - 305 cm (10'0") or Moriah - 692 cm (22'8½") are much much taller.Can you post an image of the charm? Ooooh, now there’s a question. I’ve seen Naruto, Bleach and HxH. JJBA and OPM are on the list. Out of the three big shounen series I’ve seen, I’d rank them: 1. Hunter x Hunter, 2. One Piece, 3. Naruto, 4. Bleach. I completely lost interest in Bleach. I lost interest in Naruto at a certain point, then returned to it once the offending character was dead.

A little warning, you might wanna stay extra on guard for the next approx. 50 episodes, some stuff goes down and it's most fun to see if you're unspoiled of it. And the stuff in question is INFAMOUSLY easy to get spoiled on, it's like a series of Citizen Kane "it was his sled" moments.

true, Bentham did some awful things in Alabasta, but I kind of thought that there might be a “good” reason for him to enroll in Baroque Works, since as far as he knew when joining BW that the goal would be a Utopia. That’s one of the things that made me a bit less than enthusiastic about Luffy seeing him again with the whole “yes we r solid frandz nao” bit because what Bon Clay did in Alabasta comes under the heading of a false-flag war crime.
It certainly show’s Luffy’s moral greyness. It doesn’t matter if you commit terrible war crimes if you’re friends with him. I wonder what Vivi would think? xD
Maybe Bon Clay figured Okama would be accepted in the BW Utopia?
