Trying to help, attempting to lift, encouraging growth, we strive to be good to those around us. Often we give what we feel is our best advice, show them how we have learned to overcome problems, offer guidance where we can. But I wonder if sometimes, it ends up feeling like more weight, even when the intentions are good. Just about every thought I have is compared and contrasted with my brains database of experiences, and it is no different when having a conversation with someone. I often tend to offer solutions, even when one isnt asked for. It can be a challenge to listen to a problem and not try to solve it. Perhaps this is because I am a person who wants to help, constantly turning away from my own issues, in order to help others learn and grow. It is amazing to me how quickly good intentions can turn into unwanted added weight. Like this photo vaguely depicts(I realize this is probably mating), even though I might be flapping my wings trying to help lift them up, I am actually pushing them further down. For a wordy bitch like myself, it can be hard to understand, that silence itself could be the solution. Do you ever find yourself over expressing when you need to just listen? #emformdesign #creativewriting #seagulllife #santacruzwaves #mindfulness #listentoeachother #liftup #positivevibes #getperspective (at West Cliff Drive) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx3O3MOBWAL/?igshid=1tbzb4455r4zg
