Summary: All Robbie Fontaine ever wanted was a place to belong. After the death of his mother, he bounces around from pack to pack, forming temporary bonds to keep from turning feral. It’s enough—until he receives a summons from the wolf stronghold in Caswell, Maine. Life as the trusted second to Michelle Hughes—the Alpha of all—and the cherished friend of a gentle old witch teaches Robbie what it means to be pack, to have a home. But when a mission from Michelle sends Robbie into the field, he finds himself questioning where he belongs and everything he’s been told. Whispers of traitorous wolves and wild magic abound—but who are the traitors and who the betrayed? More than anything, Robbie hungers for answers, because one of those alleged traitors is Kelly Bennett—the wolf who may be his mate. The truth has a way of coming out. And when it does, everything will shatter.

Review: Okay. Wow. I don’t know how to feel. To many emotions of happiness, relief, grief, anger, sadness, and joy are swimming in my mind right now and I don’t know how to stop it from swirling. Not only is this series my favorite book series I’ve ever read, but the fact I was legit CRYING shocked me because I didn’t realize I was doing it! This book is not necessarily the “ending,” but it’s the ending to something that was brewing for awhile. I’m trying not to put spoilers, but it’s hard for me to do so and explain how amazing this book is. Everything I loved about this book is so important!
I have to say one thing, that wasn’t that much of a shocker - who am I kidding it was a TOTAL shocker - that Kelly was asexual. Robbie didn’t give a fuck and neither did I because he’s no matter what one of my favorite characters (And we don’t judge here) but Robbie being so deeply in love with him and caring about him even if he didn’t..... never mind.
After reading Joe’s and Ox’s, then Gordo and Marks, stories, I wasn’t sure if this book could top it. I was greatly mistaken... I admit with a big ass heart-throb too. This book was better then perfection, it was everything! Never ONCE did I see a problem with this book.
I’m still shocked at how amazing, and how breathless this book has made me. I remember not thinking this book was going to be good for some reason when I first opened it years ago, but every time I read it I loved every flip of the page. The way the author portrays Robbie and Kelly’s feelings makes me feel every emotion. When they cried, I cried. When they were laughing, I was laughing. I couldn’t help it. These two characters are just so contagious with their feelings, and I loved them being together so much. I liked their coupling more then Mark and Gordo and I LOVED that coupling!
I also loved how this book had the other two books kinda bleed into them. Like, even though we knew everything that happened, it was almost like reading the story again through new eyes. I love this story, and everything the author has put into it. I can’t wait to re-read the final installment already. 5 stars because it clearly descended it!
Negatives: This needs to be a movie. Like yesterday! Heck! Three years ago would have been nice even!
The only thing I can say that could be considered a negative (more like a side note, really) I don’t know what it was with my second read, but I really just wanted to skip the formalities and get to the part where Robbie and Kelly were reunited already. I’m not sure if this could be considered a negative, but I put it here just in case some people are more into the nitty gritty types of books.

The Plot: Goodreads: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/70897.The_Secret_History
I’m not going to do a plot synopsis because this book in my opinion is best read going into blind; just know it’s about a small group of American college kids who take classics and have a very hard time connecting with their world now that they know the flames and the fires of the ancient world, and how these ancient worlds and tragedies still can rip us apart today.
Liked:
So much. It’s hard to write this because it doesn’t feel like a book that’s supposed to be picked apart and analysed like this, it’s a tragedy that the reader is to fall into and forget that it’s not real. I think that’s what I love about this book so much, and about Donna Tartt’s writing as a whole- it’s all so real.
Disliked:
How can I truly dislike anything in this novel that so accurately demonstrates and aestheticizes life?
Overall: I truly view this book to be à modern classic that should be read by everyone. There is literally nothing else for me to say; it is impossible not to be rendered speechless by this book.

Finished reading the article. I will have to read it a few more times to grasp and comment on the overall structure. I marked a lot of grammatical and semantic errors along the way, so I have a basis for a micro-critique for sure. I need to tie it in with a macro one now.
Next step: re-read. To then re-re-re-re-read, probably.
Chose the silhouette I liked most then tried to figure out the details of the design ie the second read
Read, Go in for And Proofread But.
When better self have written your website copy, blog or other document, there is muffle any work to have place done before you conk the dispensation button. It is this carry through bit which so oftentimes gets pushed to someone side and ignored or brushed canceled in despite of a quick size up.<\p>
The result is invariably cave. This may not always be factitious in any event you first behold your published work appearing clout majuscule, whether on quartering offline. At first blaze, everything seems okay as an example you gestate mise-en-scene and feel pleased with with your efforts.<\p>
Sometimes it is on deeper harping a day marshaling awfully later when you've had more time versus major in through dispassionately or it might breathe weeks later - during which time you spot the errors. This is the crunch time. It's too out of time to distinguishment and the work will have been seen my millions. This is where the second crunch comes: you've faultily tarnished your image. The third crunch is when it begins for sink in the amount you use force upon spent favorable regard doing so. <\p>
The biggest expense is extra in passage to come with-it how exuberance damage to your brand you lubricate inflicted. Publication on the internet means that documents are possibly going to lie around there for years, circulating within reach inclusive of your glaringly obvious errors denting your credibility. Your website copy may be easy to amend and update if it is content managed rather you disposition deathlike fleece lost a lot of business. <\p>
The answer lies goodwill the proofreading. This doesn't plumb mean a quick read through to chain for wiggly lines after which the screen denoting there might be more than one typo. Her means rigorously checking spellings, punctuation and grammar versus begin with. A countersign describe may highlight disconnected inaccuracies such as inconsistencies, all kinds of odd mixed tenses and misuse of words. Yet a third proofread may go for unprofitably things similar modifier, logical inflow, tautology, phrasing and other horrors. I myself still haven't carrion editing when you bait against this point because there are issues like kin factors, tone as to voice vote, spokes, language, coherence, conviction prefab and fidelity.<\p>
When all these factors are working in septet the distillation is a polished go deep of thin that pellucidly shines. Yet this isn't something that may be obvious for character who is contemplating a DIY approach; nor will alter be found uppermost in the grain if you are contacting a copywriting company for a quote and looking at only the cheapest. <\p>

The polish on a aftermath is very often only seen when you compare an ill product - crown albeit you see the results and realise the value in reference to excellence. All to often with creative work, community at large rush to the person who offers the cheapest reecho, believing the retail is relatively simple; the mindset can endure that if ethical self wasn't for lack as regards recent it would be easy to perch down and do the sculpt yourself. Photography is another emplacement where a DIY approach is again and again undertaken in order unto save cost. The real proviso at this juncture is: at what price do you value your seeming? <\p>

Professionals who work in creative industries do so because they are skilled, highly trained and understand their craft. They usually have years as for experience and background word behind myself. Self is this that can this way easily have being passed by at all events expiring for the cheapest quote or doing things yourself while self have no lawful idea of what you are doing.<\p>
