DAY 2 - LOSS

The Birthday Gift
Stein walked along the toy aisles. Everything was so colorful and cute. He picked up a pink plush octopus from the shelf. The lenses of his glasses were reflected in its glued-on plastic eyes. For a moment, he thought he saw fear in the inanimate object.
A group of children ran down the aisle, followed by a tired father, who apologized when one of the children ran into him. Stein sighed and put the plushie back on the shelf. He still didn't understand why Marie had given him the task of choosing their daughter's birthday present.
As he was about to leave the store, something caught his eye. A small blue dog plushie with a stitch pattern, standing alone on the bottom shelf. Stein bent down and picked it up. His thumb rubbed one of the soft stuffed ears. He didn't know why, but he felt like he'd found the perfect gift.
Day 3 - Photo
My fav thing about Nova and White Star is that they're incredibly dangerous villains that love each other and adore lil' baby Black Star.
I just adored writing scenes that put their sitcom view of the world is stark contrast to the destruction they caused.
The Only Child
I actually posted this a couple months back because I felt weird about waiting to do so, but I was given the go-ahead to finally make a tumblr post for it now that Soul Eater Family Week is currently running.
This one was indeed written with the "Photograph" prompt in mind, and, while it may technically be a sequel work, the context is pretty easily figured out. Even if this is all the energy I have to offer, I am more than happy to have this for this event.
