Sooooo hi and welcome ☺️ I decided to do a blog Because right now that suits me in my process best. Memoirs of a Dadless Daughter is a Novel based on a true story that I’m currently working on. Because I’m still growing and learning there’s always a lot of things I want to say, and what better way to do it than here where someone else can learn and relate.

I’ve experienced a lot of trials and tribulations that I feel could have been avoided with a proper male figure guiding me. From decisions in men, knowing my worth, disrespect I accepted etc.

Dadless Daughters are daughters growing up with that disconnect from their dads.. Initially when I started this it was because my Dad has been incarcerated my entire life thus far (30 years to be exact) so I’ve always missed the connection and a Dad is essential in a childs up bringing. It later expanded to young women who’s Dads passed away, never knew them or Women that had dads physical presence but lacked a connection.

This Blog will simply be an outlet, detailing everyday experience, mistakes made from lack of male guidance and stories of the past that could possible help the younger me ☺️ feel free to follow and send your stories if you can relate.

When it comes to self-awareness and creating a purpose driven life, it helps to understand who you are. This can be done by acknowledging your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Though this may sound emotionally exhausting, it’s quite simple if practiced correctly. Start by writing down your thoughts, feelings, and goals on a daily basis. This can be easily accomplished by writing in a daily journal or carving out a section in your weekly planner. This way you can begin to discover personal patterns and establish your core values. Finding your “why” starts with uncovering your true strengths and igniting your passions. Understanding what excites you will ultimately lead to what motivates you!

I’m going to vent, feel free to keep scrolling...

Just because I work in a bookstore and talk to strangers all day does not mean that I’m not an introvert and naturally shy, it means that I, a naturally shy and introverted person needs to eat and pay bills and therefore has developed social skills.

My coworker who keeps trying to manipulate me into hanging around with her tells me I have too many rules, and is trying to imply that I’m stubborn and heartless- do not try to gaslight me into thinking I’m crazy for setting personal boundaries and giving myself the care and breathing space I need.

Grr.
