he keeps them in a lil box up on the top shelf of the closet (somewhere angel can’t reach bc he knew they would never let him live it down) one day they’re in a spring cleaning mood and they get the little step ladder and are dusting that top shelf when they find the box and they bring it up to him later like

“mhm okay mr ‘i hate mushy bullshit’ this seems pretty mushy to me” angel like >:)

david snatching the box and carefully putting the notes back and just glaring at them with a flushed face not even having the brainpower to say anything but “you’re a pain in my ass” (promptly makes sure the box is safe and sound back up on the shelf)
