A godshard is an incarnated god! Whether they be a full incarnation or just a piece of the god's soul incarnating with an individuals soul. The idea of godshards is based in several ancients religious/cultural practices.

I'm a godshard/angelshard myself. :)) I consider her to be sort of my higher self in a way.
