can someone please explain the whole marauders lore? I’ve wanted to get into it for a while but I don’t really know what it’s about. I’ve read Harry Potter btw it’s just their whole backstory is kinda trippy and complicated lol or maybe I’m reading too much into it

On Ben Solo and Snape

Now, we know Rian has told Adam what Kylo was thinking and feeling throughout the movie, so he could convey that with his spectacular emotive expressions.

This reminds me of a certain hook-nosed professor and the wonderful Alan Rickman (😢). How JK Rowling told Alan the reason behind everything Snape has done. How Alan kept that secret and performed beautifully. How heartbreaking it was when we learned about Snape's love for Lily and his resulting protection of Harry. A love that never stopped; even after she was gone.

Snape = Always.

Now we have Kylo Ren. And we have Adam; an actor who has been told about his characters deepest feelings and motivations. An actor who must be must be careful about what he lets on. For what other reason must his emotions be kept a secret than a heart wrenching reveal in episode ix? Through the novelization, we get some hints (blaring signs) at Kylo's feelings and how quickly they developed. So what will that heart wrenching reveal of Kylo's love for Rey...And in turn her love for him... be?

While the embodiment of Snape's love for Lily is held in one word: Always (still sobbing about it tbh). The embodiment of Rey and Kylo's love will be described in two:

Even then.

Rey: Even then; when he killed her only father figure. Because through their bond, she felt his anguish too. How utterly lost this man is. Even then, when Kylo invaded her mind because beneath the monster, she felt the compassion he tried to suppress when he felt her feelings of abandonment.

Ben: Even then. When a girl given his power without the weight of his legacy earned the love of his parents that he feels he doesn't deserve. Even then, when she left him. Because she didn't kill him. And she had the chance. Twice. And that meant for the first time in years of being alone, there was someone who cared about HIM.

Even then, because their souls loved each other long before the force showed them the way. While Snape's love extended infinitely into the future, even when she was gone. Ben's love for Rey extends infinitely in the other direction.

So, when Ben and Rey are reconciled and the truth comes out.. Ben will say to her.

I loved you..

..Even then.
