Yes, it's indeed insane that Snegulus became my favorite Snape/Death Eater ship, given that there's no mention of them having interacted at any point. But i genuinely believe they would do find understanding in each other. My point is that both Regulus and Severus once struggled to overcome the mediocrity of their circumstances as, respectively, a total wretch whose life consists in hardship and harassment, and the second son of a noble family, condemned to be overshadowed by his brother. And meanwhile these two young men hide in their archetypes of an hostile dark wizard and and imposing pure-blood, they would also long for someone who understands how it feels. I like to think that they found that before the war hit them. They also have a very funny dynamic in my opinion: -Even though there's not much information about Regulus, him writing "I wanted you to know it was I that discovered your secret" in his letter to Voldemort and "Do not enter without the express permission of Regulus Arcturus Black" in his bedroom's door at least indicates how sassy he might have been. now imagine this guy and SEVERUS SNAPE together, James Potter would regret ever taking Lily and Sirius with him. -Also there's the fact that both of them betrayed Voldemort to protect who they loved. Voldy wasn't surviving 1981 if Regulus left a letter to his lover telling about the horcruxes before he passed. Well, and if Regulus actually survived the war, they would have been the most badass couple EVER, imagine them being rejected by both the light and the darkness in a "each other is all we need" trope. -And Regulus was kinda James Potter's rival in quidditch? Imagine LILY AND SEVERUS GOING TO A QUIDDITCH MATCH IN THEIR SEVENTH YEAR AND STARING AT EACH OTHER LIKE THIS:
Some WaterPrince/Snegulus HC? Iguess, cuz i love them sm

What's your opinion on Regulus and Severus ship?
I actually find it way more logical than James x Regulus. Even though I don’t think they would’ve had a particularly close relationship during their school years, I’ve always had this headcanon that Severus and Regulus didn’t really like each other all that much nor were they close, but I like to imagine they acted like they got along super well whenever Sirius was around—just to mess with him. Like, Regulus did it to get under his brother’s skin in a childish attempt to piss him off because of all the resentment he held for Sirius abandoning the family, and for Severus, any chance to irritate Sirius was a good one. So yeah, I’ve never actually read anything with that pairing because it doesn’t really call to me, but I don’t find it problematic at all, and it’s honestly not even that much of a crack ship.
