I really don’t understand why you’d insist on putting characters in tacky (historically inaccurate) corsets and battle bikinis when you can make fantastic costumes based off actual historical fashions.

Edit: We have been advised that series apparently dips in the T&A shots once withing the comics, however the point on using actual historical influence rather than impractical adaptations of modern day attire remains and these covers are still awesome.

NICKY’S PICKS: Shadow Glass & Venus Running the gamut from old school Elizabethan fantasy to futuristic planetary-colonization scifi, and I am loving both of them! Venus is almost over and every issue of this space-faring-disaster mini gets more exciting; I hope it becomes an ongoing! Shadow Glass is only on issue one and most of the issue seems to be set-up, but what it sets-up is very interesting, and I am head-over-heels for the artwork! Major recs for both!
JESSE’S PICKS: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #56 & Batman #50 TMNT brings us the long awaited arrival of fan-favorite Leatherface! Far from the cajun parody of his cartoon iteration, Leatherface’s origin hints at a more fascinating past and potential future with the Turtles. Meanwhile in Batman, the long, slow-brewing confrontation between Batman (yes, him) and Mr. Bloom finally comes to a thunderous conclusion!
