Famous in-universe or out-of-universe?

Both.  It’s kind of like how on the internet there’s a concept called “online culture” which pertains to (in my opinion) the real online world.  In Harry Potter things are more abstract, and it’s hard to convey to someone who doesn’t know the book how Harry Potter works.

(E.g. many of the terms used in the Harry Potter world aren’t specific to it but are really just invented words that describe qualities the authors want people to think Harry Potter wizards and witches have, and the like.)

Hello Zarla! I just watched part nine of Starbot's dub of Handplates, and I saw to my surprise that they actually *added* a scene, in audio only, before the 'papyrus is ordered to kill something' scene. Is that scene Handplates canon?

(video) I was actually surprised by that myself, I wasn’t expecting it at all, haha. They came up with it on their own. |D So that added scene isn’t canon so to speak - the thing in the carrier remains a mystery.

I... am not the best singer. but I have half a mind to try and sing your 'translated' gem language songs (the intro and stronger than you). Is that something you'd be okay with? And do you have tips on pronunciation?

I would very definitely be okay with that! I have phonetic notations for all the words in their original entries; a guide to IPA phonetics can be found here.

First of all I was entertained enough by the comment/question to belatedly install XKit so I could reply in turn to it (why tumblr doesn’t natively have that function I don’t know), so points for that.

Actually it’s a round-about Sailor Moon reference! Back during “Sailor Moon Crystal” Season 1, the four Heavenly Generals were introduced in a flashback each as a “Knight of” two things (I believe based off supposed qualities of the gem they were named after). As with a lot of things to do with SM Crystal, this was easy pickings for jokes, and thus the “We are the Knights of Two Things” mini-meme was born over in one section of the SM fandom. I forget what my other “Thing” was (I don’t know where the posts involved are right now because tumblr nuked the home blog a few weeks ago), but IIRC one was indeed Overthinking RPGs. Caused by how I approach e.g. Fallout New Vegas (200+ hours played without finishing the game).

(I also didn’t like that scene because each General had the exact same longsword. If they’re supposed to be overseers of different regions, have them carrying an area-appropriate weapon for godsake. ...leaving aside that this supposedly takes place far enough in the past that medieval European knightly swords shouldn’t exist but no matter...)
