So @cassandraclare said to find a quote that I liked from Lady Midnight/Lord of Shadows and share it but I actually have a confession…

I loved the quotes in Lady Midnight so much that I made a Google Doc and wrote down all of my favorites...to be honest, so many things in that book were hilarious but I have to say my favorite parts were Emma’s surprisingly creative threats. A few of the best (relatively spoiler-free) examples:

“Emma hung on to her for dear life and decided there and then that if anyone ever tried to hurt Cristina she would grind them to a pulp and make amusing sand castles out of the remains.”

““But he hurt Jules, so when we track him down, I’m going to chop him up and feed him to my fish.”

“You don’t have fish,” Julian said.

“Well, I’m going to buy some,” said Emma. “I’m going to buy goldfish and feed them blood until they acquire a taste for human flesh.””

““Get up,” Emma said, reaching out a hand to Sterling. “Come with us. But if you call me ‘blondie’ again, I’ll rip your knees off and turn them into tiny hubcaps, ’kay?””

““I don’t want to die on the Pacific Coast Highway!” Sterling wailed.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” Emma’s voice dripped acid. “Is there a different highway you’d like to die on? BECAUSE WE CAN ARRANGE THAT.””

^this one is the most random and definitely my favorite in the whole book

Also I’m sorry I own Lord of Shadows but not Lady Midnight so I can’t post a photo or at least not until I get home
