He's the household chef (and secretly an at home body guard) , and Macaque is a guy from a very modest background so he's very appreciative and kind to all the staff. Wukong is, well Wukong, he's more pre-journey than LMK in his characterization so he's a bit of an arrogant asshole and his (adopted) parents have a very good business.
They did kinda get divorced, it was more like you're in protective custody now and your marriage is a danger to you so it's legally disolved.
No splitting of assets or anything like that, just what was yours before divorce is still yours, and per demon customs, children go with the one who birthed them so Mac got automatic custody. Not like any reasonable judge would give Wukong custody of children.
He also gets Pigsy if he lives, because Pigsy chooses to stay with him. Pigsy is aware of what Wukong is actually up to and strongly disapproved of him keeping secrets from his family, but Wukong is not his monkey, so it's not his circus.
He's just trying to keep order in the house while Mac is freaking out about Wukong possibly cheating.

DBK has the misfortune to see Wukong’s ugly mug once again, but at least he met three cutie patooties so I guess that balances out the experience for him lmaoo
Wukong is definitely using Xiaoyue as a shield so he doesn’t get backhanded by DBK😭😭😭 it’s so over once Macaque pops in to take her to get fed,,,monkey shaped dent on the wall that DBK frames later
I’m kinda hoping to make another comic circling back to DBK and Wukong’s talk, like I didn’t get to go too in debt but I hope people get the idea of it. Wukong definitely feels bad for what he did to DBK but he doesn’t think he was in the wrong to do it. My hc was that Wukong was sent by Heaven to stop DBK in his rampage, and it was either trap him under the mountain or heaven would have sent someone to kill DBK. Wukong chose the lesser of the two after he tried talking to his brother and the other refused to listen to him. It’s why he’s not apologizing to DBK, while he’d apologize to PIF and Red Son for taking their loved one, he won’t apologize to DBK because this was the consequence to his actions. It’s why DBK doesn’t fight him on it, because he knows deep inside that he’s right, instead he lets him know that he’s still pissed/betrayed by him, which Wukong responds by acknowledging his feelings.
