Ingredients: 500g beef tenderloin, cut into bite-sized cubes. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tbsp oyster sauce. 1 tbsp soy sauce. 1 tbsp fish sauce. 1 tbsp sugar. 1/2 tsp black pepper. 2 tbsp vegetable oil. 4 cups cooked Vietnamese red rice. 1 onion, thinly sliced. 1 bunch watercress or lettuce leaves. 1 lime, cut into wedges.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix garlic, oyster sauce, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Add beef cubes to the marinade, coat well, and let sit for at least 30 minutes. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add marinated beef cubes in a single layer and let sear for about 2-3 minutes without stirring. Flip the beef cubes to sear the other side for another 2-3 minutes or until nicely browned and slightly charred. Add sliced onions to the skillet and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until softened. Serve the shaking beef hot with cooked Vietnamese red rice and watercress or lettuce leaves. Garnish with lime wedges and enjoy!
