A witch and her Knight.
Final artwork for October this year! I am. Very tired.
Since Vivienne is too weak to protect herself from particularly violent clients, she keeps Bryce around as a bodyguard. I tried to make Bryce's design resemble a Knight a bit more, so I added the shoulder pads and made the scarf look more like a cape. It also has a hood to protect her identity a bit better.
Shaky Ground | Evanna
So Anna had gotten Evy the job after all! She was really excited about this, but a little nervous. If it went well, then Anna had just recruited a really helpful new member of the team! But if it didn’t... then Anna felt like it reflected on her... After all, she didn’t want anyone to think she was just getting her friends in the door.
So far, though, things were going pretty smoothly. Elsa had trained Evy the other day when Anna was in class, and seemed pretty adamant that Evy was ready to go. Anna wasn’t going to question it.
“Hey! We finally have a shift together!” Anna said, tying her apron behind her back and going to wash her hands. “How did training go?”

In the wake of trying to scoop out puddles of the Whye River with his own tiny buckets, tripping and falling more than a few times on seaweed that seemed a little more lively than it should have been and noting some peculiar staining wherever the sea water had been, Nate was at his wit’s end. Thankfully, Ricky was on his way with some sandbags that should help create at least some sort of barrier from the flood. It wasn’t much, but it was more than he had at the moment.
Nate couldn’t believe the day he was having. It was supposed to be a leisurely day off, he was even taking a break from researching! It was supposed to be a quiet, nondescript, normal day for once. But the town had other plans. In an attempt to make his way towards one of the many first aid kits he had stashed around the house, Nate managed to trip and scrape his elbow on the corner of his coffee table – he knew he should have sanded those corners down!
“Oh gosh darn-it!” It wasn’t bleeding too badly, but in addition to the small cut on his ankle which was getting all sorts of bacteria all over it, Nate decided not to risk any further injuries. Climbing up onto his kitchen counter, a surface that was rarely used for more than supporting his take out boxes, Nate resolved himself to waiting for help to arrive. The town wasn’t too large, Ricky shouldn’t have too much trouble getting to his house, but then again, Nate hadn’t thought the sky was going to be red today either.
It felt like hours later when he heard the truck pulling up outside, large wheels spattering in the rising water. Nate was currently curled up in a ball on the counter, a few paper towels pressed onto his wounds despite his lack of antibacterial ointment.
“I’m in here! C’mon in!” He yelled when he heard the car door close. At the moment he didn’t care that he looked like the biggest coward in the world, only that he could get some first aid onto his wounds before they got infected. “And uh- could you grab the first aid kit? It’s on the table by the front door.”
Queerplatonic flag but Darius won't GET OFF THAT STUPID TABLET AND FORM A HUMAN CONNECTION.
