As we approach Rosh Hashanah, which begins on Monday evening (the year 5786 in the Jewish Calendar), we find ourselves facing the most challenging passage of time for the Jewish people since the Second World War. Just as we have done for thousands of years, we will come through this and emerge stronger and more resilient than ever. Israel will continue to do whatever it needs to do to safeguard the future of our children, and our children's children, with or without the world's approval. As we hope and pray for the return of the hostages, we wish everyone, both in Israel and the Diaspora, a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and above all Peaceful New Year. Shana Tova Umetukah.
