okay but i'm now obsessed with the idea of sharonzemo teaming up with john, so here's some headcanons that literally no one asked for:

sharonzemo can't STAND john at first, they're so damn mean, and either make fun of him or just straight up ignore him

but john vows that he's going to win them over. this man is not easily discouraged- the meaner they are- the harder he tries to be their friend

john: "they're both smol and angry, must protect them🥺" and he is very protective in general bc his best friend already died on his watch :(

sharon texts sam and zemo texts bucky to vent about their new partner. they both receive a text from sambucky: "we're on vacation, leave us alone"

they slowly, as they get worn down, start to respect john and see him as a valued addition to the team

john accidently cockblocks zemo constantly

he's also very oblivious to what's going on- he shows up at sharon's door one night so he can get advice on a text he got from olivia, and he doesn't even question why zemo is also there

john is designated driver when they go out for post-mission drinks, bc he can't get drunk, but doesn't mind

sharonzemo get tired of sambucky ignoring them and text a picture of them with john and the caption: "we replaced you"

sam and bucky show up to the raft the NEXT DAY to demand why they are being replaced

john: as your best friend

sharonzemo: technically sam and bucky are our best fr-

john: AS YOUR BEST FRIEND

it's so funny to me that for years everyone claimed that sharon was working with zemo in civil war, bc they wanted to make her evil and justify hate for her

and then later a select few of us went, "hmm sharonzemo both sexc" and started genuinely shipping them together skskdkdk
