The more I watch SCATLOTTR, the more I’m convinced these two are not platonic. Look at Shang Chi, he basically went: looks at Katy’s hand, her face, plays with her thumb, stares and smile at her again.

If Katy had been a "twink" looking white male, half the fandom would be shipping her with Shang Chi right now.
Not only does Shang Chi open up to her about his tragic backstory over the course of the movie, not only is she "ride or die" for her friend, but we get a semi angsty scene where he is risking his life to save her from falling that I swear is like a happy-end version of what happened to Steve and Bucky.
"But they are such a good representation of platonic male-female friendship!!!" Absolutely, so? I am friends to lovers trash so that doesn't disuade me lmao.
Edit: And you have to admit Marvel does romance better when they are not trying to do romance and are instead going for the "platonic" thingy.
