Reading TGCF: Chapter 90

For those who don't know, I am reading TGCF for the first time and sharing my thoughts!

If you have not read it, there will be spoilers! Consider this a warning.

I am back this stunning Saturday with another dirty chai latte. I am obsessed, this coffee/tea blend is so good.

Skylar and I did an incredible farmers market shop today- so many cured meats and bakery items! To top it off the weather has been so lovely.

I am unsure if I will be posting a chapter tomorrow- if I do, it might be bright and early since I have holiday plans that will leave me one with the couch.

Also I hate the way in which they side stepped the entire question about Lang Ying and who the fellow in white that they should be worried about it is.

some people on twitter pointed out that what luz's mom said in luz's flashback near the beginning of the episode was very very different from what she actually said in episode 10. in the flashback, luz's mom said, "Promise me, when you'll come home, you'll stay with me and never go back to that place" when she actually said "When you come home, promise you'll stay here. I didn't mean to push you away. I swear things will be different." and given that episode 11 came after like months of hiatus, we wouldn't be able to tell that what luz remembers is quite different to what actually happened. this works really really well in a meta sense because us not being able to readily tell the difference can, in a way, reflect how luz can't either because of her anxiety over the whole situation and her worry over disappointing her mom butchering up things her mom actually said. so um. fuck. dana terrace is a genius.
